CHAPTER 4

PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS, AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter highlights the presentation, analysis and interpretation of the


data gathered with 25 respondents which are the tricycle drivers in Baler, Aurora.

Table 1.1 As shown in the table above, the frequencies and percentage of age
of the respondents reveals that among the 25 respondents, six respondents
representing 12% are 51 to 60 years old, seven respondents representing 14% are 41
to 50 years old, nine respondents representing 18% are 31 to 40 years old, and three
respondents representing 6% are 20 to 30 years old. Therefore, the most frequent age
on the 25 respondents is 31 to 40 years old while the least age is 20 to 30 years old.

Table 1.2 Based on the table shown above, the frequencies and percentages of
sex indicates that among the 25 respondents, twenty-four respondents representing
48% are male and one respondents representing 2% are female.

Table 1.1 As shown in the table above, the frequencies and percentage of
courses of the respondents reveals that among the 25 respondents, two respondents
representing 4% are 16 to 20 years of being a driver, three respondents representing
6% are 11 to 15 years of being a driver, nine respondents representing 18% are 6 to to
10 of being a driver, and eleven respondents representing 22% are 1 to 5 of being a
driver.

As seen on table 2.1 there is one of the respondents representing 2% said that
they only have few passengers for the whole day during the pandemic are not a
difficulty, while eleven respondents representing 22% said that it is a major difficulty.
In the second statement, none of the respondents representing 0% said that their
income dropped even more is not a difficulty, while twelve respondents representing
24% said that is a major difficulty. In the third statement, one respondent representing
2% said that dealing with the uncertainty involving financial problems are both not a
difficulty and minor difficulty, while eighteen respondents representing 36% said that
it is an extreme difficulty. In the fourth statement, none of the respondent representing
0% said that their income is not enough to support my family needs are both not a
difficulty and minor difficulty, while twenty-one respondents representing 42% said it
is an extreme difficulty. In the fifth statement, zero respondents representing 0% said
that the gas price is high is not a difficulty, while twelve respondents representing
24% said that it is a major difficulty.

Table 2.2 shows in the first statement that there are two respondents
representing 4% said that be thrifty in everything that it is both not suggested at all
and slightly suggested, and nine respondents representing 18% said it is mostly
suggested. In the second statement, there is one respondent representing 2% said that
have a temporary source of income while at home are not suggested at all, and eleven
respondents representing 22% said it is mostly suggested. In the third statement, there
is none of the respondent representing 0% said always have a saving account in case
of emergency is not suggested at all, and nine respondents representing 18% said it is
moderately suggested. In the fourth statement, there are four respondents representing
8% said that look for an alternative job such as gardening or faming is not suggested
at all, and eight respondents representing 16% said it is moderately suggested. In the
fifth statement, there is no respondents representing 0% said that they must go to
tricycle driver’s association so that they can make a schedule for everyone to have a
passenger is not suggested at all, and twelve respondents representing 22% said it is
mostly suggested that the ways proposed by the tricycle driver.

Table 2.3 shows the mean rating of the Difficulties Encountered by Selected
Tricycle Drivers During Community Lockdown. As seen in the table, some of the
tricycle driver have a few passengers for the whole day are having a mean rating of
2.8. Their income dropped even more is having a 3.24 mean rating. Dealing with the
uncertainty involving financial problems has a mean rating of 4.44. Their income is
not enough to support my family needs is having 4.27. The gas price is high is having
a mean rating of 3.44.

The grand mean rating for the Difficulties Encountered by Selected


Tricycle Drivers During Community Lockdown is 3.64, which reflects that the
respondents are moderately affected by the pandemic as well as their source of
income.

Table 2.4 shows the mean rating of the Ways Proposed by The Tricycle
Drivers to Deal with The Difficulty They Encountered. The statement “Be thrifty in
everything.” has 3.48 of mean rating. The statement, “Have a temporary source of
income while at home.” has a mean rating of 3.64. The statement “Always have a
saving account in case of emergency.” has a mean rating of 3.36. The statement
“Look for an alternative job such as gardening or faming.” has 2.8 of mean rating.
The statement “Go to tricycle driver’s association so that they can make a schedule
for everyone to have a passenger.” has a mean rating of 3.64.

The grand mean rating for the Ways Proposed by The Tricycle Drivers to Deal
with The Difficulty They Encountered is 3.38 which reflected that it is the proposed
idea which is important to a great extent or moderately suggested.
