Abstract

Baked goods have been around from thousands of years. These industries have played an
important role in the economic development of the country. The bakery owner produces the different
types of baked products such as bread, biscuit, pastries, cake etc. As what the researcher gets, the
owner faces some challenges in their business but they overcome those challenges and compete fairly
to their competitors while in pandemic. They satisfied the customers through their product price, speed
in service and the customers are willing to enthusiastically recommend them. But due to lack of
knowledge about using of social media platforms they don’t promote their products as well as their
business to other people.

II. Introduction

appreciates the nutritional and sensory benefits it provides. Good bread provides fiber and
carbohydrates in a convenient, low fat form that is portable and delicious.

This present research is devoted strongly to identifying the various problems and prospects of
the bread industry in Baler, Aurora. Also, this paper seeks to study how the bakery shop can still be
competitive to its consumers and competing firms. Because due to arising new businesses here in our
municipality especially bakery shops are a big obstacle to them.

III. Findings/Results

Base on the data that I gathered on interviewing the owners about the situation and problems they
encountered in their business. Here is some of them:

• Do you earn less income and suffer loss?

Yes, due to pandemic it is hard for every customer to go out because they have limited time and
dangerous to go outside, also we suffer loss because of less customer buying our product. We can’t
reach our target market due to this kind of situation.

• Do you have limited supply and resources in making your product?

No, because we already plan about this and we are aware of having lack of supply so that we
already have stocks when crisis occur that may not affect our producing of bread. And also, we get an
alternative supplier that will give us the ingredients that we need.

• Do you have ways in promoting your business as well as your products?

Yes, but we just only used flyers on our promoting it because we don’t have enough knowledge
and too old to make those kinds of stuffs and we are not used in using any social media platforms in
promoting our business and products.
