Eulogy

I am forever grateful to my parents who are strong and gentle souls who taught me to

trust in the Almighty God and believe in working hard to achieve life goals.

I wholeheartedly dedicate my achievements to my dearest family who have been my

source of inspiration and gave me strength when I thought of giving up, who continually provide

their moral , spiritual, emotional, and financial support. Thank you for believing in me that I will

successfully finish this journey called life.

I am thankful to my family who never failed to motivate and encourage me to keep going

in every life’s battle. I dedicate my life to the Almighty God and thank Him for the guidance ,

strength , power of the mind, protection, and skills and for giving me a healthy Christian life.

I was born in July 18, 2006. I am gifted with a good heart and God - fearing parents. I am

blessed enough on the way they nurtured my faith. I am contented with the life they want me to

live. And I am holding-on to the kind of love they have given me. For they once said, they are a

failure as my parents if they cannot see Jesus in me. These, I cherish for the rest of my life.

I am the second child among the 3 siblings. I am surrounded with so much care and

attention. Their unending support for me and my own family is a manifestation of a heavenly

love for which I know I cannot repay. It is priceless and beyond compare. They made me feel

secure despite of all my shortcomings. They never let me feel alone in every challenges and

trials. They made many sacrifices to realize my dreams. They invested much of their time in me.

They taught me that love is selfless and we should expect nothing in return.
Rooted in a strong Christian family foundation, it helped me survive all the challenges in

life. With fervent prayer and allowing guidance of the holy spirit, everything will just fall

according to his purpose and glory. The beauty of life is best experienced and served through

total submission to the author and source of everything.

I admire my parents so much. they became a blessing to many because of their being kind

and generous. We do not own our life but they served their purpose well. I was greatly affected

however, I sought for the true meaning of death by reading the Bible. That was the best coping

strategy I had. The message was very clear. We should not be ignorant with death. 1

Thessalonians 4:13-17 says that, Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who

fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and

rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

According to the Lord’s own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the

coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself

will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the Archangel and with

the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive

and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the lord in the air. And so

we will be with the Lord forever. The promise of God is very clear. These verses guided me and

gradually, I was able to regain back my strength.

As time goes by, there were so many challenges along the way. People really change but

the book entitled The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren , inspire me to continue the advocacy

works of my parents. It clearly revealed that the sole duty of man was to worship God. The

purpose of our existence is to glorify God with what we make with our lives. Our life should
manifest the love of God for everyone to emulate. I became a successful Speech and language

pathologist and was able to continue the vision and mission of ICARES Smartminds Academy,

the school built by my parents.

My life as an advocate was full of challenges and blessings. I have seen the beauty of

God’s image in the faces of innocent children with special needs. As I continue to serve the

economically vulnerable and socially excluded families, I feel so favored because not all has the

same opportunity to serve and care for extraordinary children. They are heaven sent and I am so

grateful to be part of their journey. They inspire me to keep going. In iCAREs, we envision a

world where all children will have an equal opportunity to learn and live life to the fullest.

iCAREs is committed and dedicated to helping and supporting children with special needs and

those challenged with learning difficulties. Lastly, I will continue to carry on iCAREs Advocacy

motto “No one goes very far alone. All that you put into the lives of others comes back into your

own”.

My life philosophy will speak much of my desire to see “the beauty of life” in everything

we do. In good or bad times, whether positive or negative, we continue to believe that there is

always light after darkness, that life is beautiful and made more beautiful by our experiences. We

welcome trials and difficulties. We can only know happiness, if we know sadness. At times we

feel like giving up because it seems that our problems are unbearable, but I always keep in mind

that a diamond is polished by friction. The more we face our challenges, the more we grow in

faith. So let our light so shine!

My overall experience in my 100 years of existence had a significant effect on my faith. I

learned to have faith in myself that whatever the obstacles, struggles, and circumstances may
pass through, all I need is to have faith in myself that I can overcome it through the help of our

Lord Almighty.

Life’s journey is not as straightforward as it may seem. Along life’s highway are bumps

and curves that we have to navigate. My life on earth has deep implications on my parents and

children as we are faced with a range of challenges and emotional consequences while I was still

with them. Moreover, I want my family to remember me as a happy person. Till we meet again.
