Once upon a time In the Moniyan Empire there lived Benedetta, she lived

with her father who was a soldier from the Moniyan Empire. Then, one day

his father was assigned to fight against monsters from the demon world

along with other Moniyan Empire soldiers. The moniyan empire's army is

led by a major named Drazen (Drazen is the father of Benedetta's friend

Alucard). The soldiers also set out to fight the monsters, but they did not

return to the Moniyan Empire, it was rumored that they had experienced

defeat against the monsters. Then, when they were ordered to retreat by

the central government, they didn't listen to the order and continued to

advance against the monsters. Therefore, the troops led by Drazen were

also considered as royal rebels. After that they did not return and were

considered dead on the battlefield.After that incident, Benedetta and

Alucard became orphans, but all the orphans in the Moniyan Empire will be

cared for by the kingdom in a place called the Monastery of Light. However,

when they were about to enter the Monastery of Light, Benedetta and

Alucard were intercepted by the guards of the Monastery of Light, the

guard said that one of them should not enter the Monastery of Light

because their father was a rebel, and the one who was not allowed to enter

the Monastery of Light was Benedetta. They were both confused as to why

Benedetta was not allowed to enter the Monastery of Light, even though

when viewed from Benedetta's father's mission, all of Drazen's troops were

rebels including Drazen. The guard said that Alucard's father was a major so

Alucard had the right to get help from the kingdom while Benedetta's father

was just an ordinary soldier so she didn't deserve any help. Because

Benedetta lived alone, she had been working and looking for her own food

since she was little, besides working, Benedetta trained her sword skills

using the sword left by her father. The reason Benedetta practiced her

sword skills was so she could avenge the monster that killed her father,

besides that Benedetta also wanted to become a member of the Moniyan

royal special forces so that she could get the honor that she and her father

should get. The years passed, Benedetta had become strong and great at

fighting. he finally decided to enlist into the Moniyan army as a first step

towards the Moniyan special forces. However, when Benedetta signed up,

he was immediately rejected by the kingdom because of the issue of his

father's rebellion. Disappointed, Benedetta left the Moniyan Empire with

her sword and walked towards the Barren Lands. For information, the

Barrend Landed is a gathering place for monsters from the Demon world, as

Benedetta already knew that her goal all along is to killed all the monsters

in order to avenge her father's death. Then, in an area in the Barren Lands

called Lantis Mountain, Benedetta found a human civilization that lived in

the Barren Lands. Flashback, long ago the Barren Lands was a fertile and

peaceful place, but because of the arrival of monsters from the Devil's

world, the Barren Lands became a barren and dangerous place for humans

to live in. Due to attacks from monsters, the only path from Barren Lands to

Moniyan was finally cut off and caused the natives of Barren Lands to be

unable to flee to Moniyan, they were forced to fight for their survival

against the monsters.Back to Benedetta's story, at first Benedetta didn't

care about the human civilization and continued her journey to kill

monsters in the Barren Lands. Benedetta released her anger and

resentment by killing every monster she encountered, but slowly she

realized that the Barren Lands was a vast place and the monsters were

more and more powerful than she had imagined. She realized that she

couldn't change the Barren Lands alone.Then one day, Benedetta saw the

protectors of the Barren Lands fighting the demonic monsters. Benedetta

was amazed by their cooperation and cohesiveness when fighting monsters

so that they could repel and even kill monsters that were about to get close

to populated areas. When the guards finished fighting, Benedetta

approached them and told them that she wanted to join their

association.Eventually Benedetta formed a friendship with the protectors of

the Barren Lands, they did all sorts of things together such as eating,

defeating monsters, and patrolling. They became very close and made a

great team.
