1. Based on the answer you got, what specific teacher roles are very true to you? Not true to you? Identify thee
teacher roles each from the list. Writes them and the reasons for the choice in the tables that follow.

Very true Reason

Life Coach The majority of schools evaluate a teacher's

effectiveness based on their student' grades rather than
how well they get along with them. In the future, this
teacher-student connection may transform into one
between a mentor and mentee. As a result, a person
might have dual roles of mentor and educator.
Negotiator Negotiation is one of the most crucial abilities educators
need for classroom management. Since parents and
students are more aware of their rights and less prone
to believe that the instructor is always correct, teachers
and students nowadays interact substantially differently
than in previous generations. As instructors teach and
serve as role models for students in effective
communication, this can strengthen the bonds between
them and their teachers by making students feel heard
and valued. By turning conflicts between students or
between students and teachers into educational
opportunities, practicing the skill of negotiation may
convert your class into a place of lifelong learning.
Entertainer Teachers are best entertainer they engaged half of
lives with their students, enable to find the students
willingness to listen they entertain and make their class
more fun and interesting. Being entertainer has a big
impact in listener’s attention.
Not true Reason

Truth Detector For me, teachers are not truth detector they don’t have
the full capacity o of being the truth detector it’s a job
of physiatrist or investigator.
Dream Instiller None of this implies that instructors never give pupils a
chance to showcase their abilities. It also does not
imply that extractors never impart knowledge. Just that
each has a distinct end objective. Instillers let students
present their work to give them a taste of what success
is like. Her kids might not be sufficiently equipped for
the real world if they lack self-motivation. Instillers focus
more on instilling useful abilities.
Cheerleader For me teachers are just motivator not a cheerleader
because for me life coach is the fit one for being
cheerleader, in the end of the day we are the one who
will make our dreams concrete.

2. If you were to propose additional roles, what would they be? Write them inside the thinking bubble.

If I were propose additional role, it would be not forcing the

students to attend online class, I see online as a dilemma to
those students, if they can attend face to face regularly five
times a week then they must choice face to face class or making
survey if they are willing to commit in this type of class,
specifically those students who don’t have strong connection in
their respective places/houses and students who had many
responsibilities in household chores like working students, and
those students who don’t have enough knowledge in
technologies and online stuff may affect the students holistically
and financially in the middle of crisis your oblige to have some
strong connection and cellular load which is another financial
problem, unlike attending face to face all you need is to attend in
school, listen and participate.

Reflect
I. What are your thoughts on today’s lessons? Share it by writing a reflective journal on how you see yourself in the
next few years as teacher, performing various roles and the strategies that need to be done.
I will say that in the next few years I see myself in a responsible position and a better life, slowly achieving all the
manifestations with more knowledge, skills and experience in teaching. And be more mature regarding my
personality and decision making. I would love to invest my next few years with teaching and up skilling myself in
accordance with department requirements and put in hard work becoming better than yesterday. Comparing myself
before and after so that I can see how far my progress was, and making it a motivation in life.

II. Read the situation below analyze it and reason out

Mr. Jo is a known teacher in area of Mathematics. He is very much respected in the discipline. However, his
knowledge does not go beyond it. Engage him in other discipline and he would not be able to give the same depth as
when he talks about Mathematics. As a teacher, does Mar, Jo need to know the other discipline? If yes,Why
Yes, a professional teacher must have mastery of the subject matter you might think that if you were going to teach a
subject, you ought to be quite knowledgeable about it. There is a heavy focus on a teacher's subject matter expertise
in high schools, where classroom teachers specialize in one or two subject areas. For such a reason, it is stated that
if you wish to teach history, you must first learn a lot about history, and if you want to teach math, you should get a
mathematics degree.

formulate a teaching policy based on it. Remember to incorporate the guidelines in writing a teaching
philosophy statement discussed previously.

Not all child receives the same educational opportunities or access, and not all kids are expected to learn. We are
aware of the causes of school abandonment. We deny kids the chance to develop to their greatest potential. Many of
us underrate the importance of connecting with one another and developing strong connections. Because everyone's
life is impacted by someone else in some manner, no one is capable of accomplishing great things on their own.
Many of us underrate the importance of connecting with one another and developing deep connections. Because
everyone's life is impacted by someone else in some manner, no one is capable of accomplishing great things by
themselves. Our children would create a world we want to live in if we could all learn to extend rather than reduce.
Children need positive examples that not only look up to them, but also recognize in them whatever they are unable
to see and believe in them when others don't. Children must know that they are someone and that they are always
capable of becoming a better person. Children are the greatest resource in the world, so I want to teach. All children
need a fighter, and I want to be that. I wouldn't be where I am now if it weren't for the good teachers in the world. It is
important to not take leadership positions lightly. We must design an educational system that values all of its pupils,
not just a vocal few, if we want it to be effective.
