(*) Some people believe that studying at university or college is the best route to a
successful career, while others believe that it is better to get a job straight after high
school. Discuss both views.

While some people believe that individuals feel that attending university or college is the

greatest path to a successful career, others argue that getting a job right after high school

the best choice. This essay will examine both of them.

On the one hand, there are various reasons why many people believe that they will enter

university. The first reason is university graduates want to broaden their horizons to gain

professional qualifications and chase the top of jobs, especially in the competitive job market

today. As a result, university graduates can probably get a good job with a much higher

salary and have more chances of promotions to others. Another reason is that they can build

up social relationships. The reason for this is that they have chances to meet and make

friends with many students of different religions and various cultural backgrounds.

On the other hand, others argue that they can work straight after graduating from high

school. The first reason is that they want to earn money as soon as possible. This means

that they will live independently without their parent's financial support. Secondly, they

become more independent and mature than those of the same age. This is due to the fact

that they have been through real situations in their workplaces such as how to treat

customers professionally to get along with their colleagues. As a consequence, they obtain a

lot of work experience and develop soft skills such as teamwork, management skills,

communication skills and problem-solving, which is extremely beneficial in the future of

their career.

In conclusion, both studying at university or college and getting a job straight after school

have their unique advantages.

While some people believe that individuals feel that attending university or college is the

greatest path to a successful career, others argue that getting a job right after high school is

the best choice. In my opinion, I find the former more convincing.

One the one hand, there are various reasons why many people believe that they should

continue higher education after school. The first reason is university graduates want to

broaden their horizons to gain professional qualifications and chase the top of jobs, especially

in the competitive job market today. As a result, university graduates can probably get a good

job with a much higher salary and have more chances of promotions to others. Another

reason is that they can build up social relationships. The reason for this is that they have

chances to meet and make friends with many students of different religions and various

cultural backgrounds.

On the other hand, I strongly believe in working straight after graduation. The first reason is

that they want to earn money as soon as possible. This means that they will live

independently without their parent's financial support. Secondly, they become more

independent and mature than those of the same age. This is due to the fact that they have been

through real situations in their workplaces such as how to treat customers professionally to
get along with their colleagues. As a consequence, they obtain a lot of work experience and

develop soft skills such as teamwork, management skills, communication skills and

problem-solving, which is extremely beneficial in the future of their career.

In conclusion, both studying at university or college and getting a job straight after school

have their unique advantages. However, personally, I am more convinced by the former.
