1. A bar BC and cable AB are to support a roller as shown in Figure 1. Given


the mass of the roller and the bar is 0.15 tonnes and 0.02 tonnes respectively.

c) If all surfaces are smooth, evaluate the reaction forces at pin C and the
tension in the cable AB.
