Speaking Project, Units 1+2

Prepare a two-minute dialogue between you and your partner discussing ONE of the
following topics:
1. Describe your experience as a study exchange student. The following questions
might help you come up with ideas.
If you had to go on a study exchange program, what difficulties would you expect to have,
and what feelings do you expect to experience being away from home? How would this
support your personal growth? What difficulties would you face while studying in a
different language? Would it be easy to live with strangers, like roommates? Would you
feel homesick? Is it worth leaving your country?
2. Discuss formal and informal education in kindergarten and preschool. The
following questions might help you come up with ideas.
Imagine that your children or siblings go to kindergarten and preschool. What would you
prefer, formal or informal education? What beliefs do you have about education? Do you
believe in entrance exams? Do you believe in homework and assignments at that age? Do
you agree with play-based learning?
In this conversation, you should employ the verb tenses that you learned, present perfect
simple and present perfect continuous. In addition, you should use at least 10 vocabulary
words that you were taught in units 1 and 2. This is a list of the words you learned in both
units (1+2). You are free to choose any word for both conversations.
