TRITON BFET

Multi-Channel NDT System for Crack

Detection in Welds/Base Metals
TesTex Introduces one of the most innovative
systems for the detection of both surface and
sub-surface cracks in welds and base metals.
Balanced Field Electromagnetic Technique
(BFET) probes can be created to fit almost any
application. Curved, flat, or welded surfaces
can be quickly evaluated even through
paints and coatings.
This system is based
on the principles
of electromagnetic
methods and
replaces the old
and laborious
methods such as
vacuum box, dye
penetrate, and mag particle inspection. Unlike
UT, the system does not demand a clean sur- Technical Specifications:

█ Frequency Range: 100 Hz to 7.5 KHz
█ Requires only minimum surface preparation
█ Channels: up to 8 channels
█ Unlike UT, requires no couplant; dry contact method

█ Testing speeds from a few inches/sec up to 1 ft./second

█ Elimination of liftoff / noise signals with special algorithm

█ Probes/scanners with various profiles to fit the weld
