Introduction

Because 50% of maintenance costs go into maintaining the undercarriage, and with dozer
tractor productivity increasing, Berco has developed a new line of chains for all types of
applications. These chains will give improved service life compared to the standard lubricated
chains.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

The Heavy Duty chains “family” is a specific design applied only for: D4H, D5H, D6H
and D7H type machines. In the following table and text we have also added the new
machines with Heavy Duty standard choice (D5M – D7R).

• Berco HD track chains must be used on CAT bulldozers originally installed with
heavy duty chains, for Berco chain warranty claims to be valid.
• Berco HD track chains can also be used as an option in older machines (“H”
series), please refer to BOPIS for availability and undercarriage modifications
needed.

HD Track Chains Applications

• HD track chains work best in all working conditions

• HD track chains are ideal for rocky conditions, logging, reforestation, side sloping and for
uneven terrain
• HD track chains with Extreme Wear Resistance Bushings, work best in high
abrasion/low impact applications (i.e. sandy soil)
