REMAN UNDERCARRIAGE OPTIONS

Effective 2 nd Qtr, 2009, Cat Reman is introducing a new product option for TTT

Undercarriage Components. Employing state-of-the-art and proven salvage capabilities

Cat Reman will begin to offer Reman Equalizer Bars, Pivot Shafts and Front Track
Roller Frames for certain TTT models. The initial products available are detailed in the
tables below:

Like all Reman products, these Undercarriage components will be remanufactured to

like new specifications.

Always remember that during the initial product introduction, many orders for Reman
components may be filled with new to seed the Reman introduction as per Reman
policies. In those cases, the parts system may not always show availability for the
Reman part but orders will still be filled as long as new parts are available. For more
information refer to the Parts Availability Section below.

Additional product offerings are under development to expand and complete the product

Parts Availability Commitment
U

As stated in SELD0122 Policies and Core Management, Caterpillar is committed to lead

the industry in overall parts availability and customer service. Caterpillar may fulfill this
commitment by using new parts or components to help satisfy demand for
Remanufactured Products.
The Antares EZ-21 screen should be used to determine where Reman parts orders
CAN be filled with new (seeded). The msg column on the far right side of the screen
can be used as the indicator. The messages codes used have the following meaning:
REE – indicates a Reman equivalent part is available for the New part number
RMN – indicates the Reman part is set up to “Fill with New” if Reman is not available.
If the field is blank or has any other message, the Reman part is not set up for “fill with
new”.

to the parts information application that describes all reman part/Core
Acceptability Family (CAF) and other related information. Also refer to other CMIS 2
inquiry applications such as: Dealer Customer Profile, Inspection
Reason Codes, Inspection Line Inquiry, Dealer Add Charges, Dealer Entitlement
Activity, Dealer CCR Inquiry, Dealer CCR Entry, Dealer Shipment Processing, Dealer
Process Packaging Grief and Reporting. This information is available to all dealers
worldwide that have been converted to CMIS 2.
