Summary & Outcome

Hi, I suspect that I have vitamin D deficiency. The last time I had
this, my doctor told me to take this formulation. Can I take it again?

Summary: Joseph Smith presented with the above query

symptoms: bone pain

Outcome feedback: Well done, you have correctly decided NOT to recommend
treatment for this patient.
Note from your tutor: This patient suspects that they have vitamin D
deficiency without any lab tests to confirm.
They cannot be given such a high dose of vitamin D
without seeing the doctor and checking their vitamin D
levels.
In addition, they are also taking a multivitamin daily.
Most multivitamins contain vitamin D 500-1000 IU, so
this would be a potential for overdose if they take the
50000 IU capsules.

Your justification for not too high dose of vit D without lab test is risky
