The Ahadith of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)

1. Hadith # 04
1

Hadith # 04

a)

1. This hadith mentions the sufficient deeds to enter Paradise.

2. After the Islamic Beliefs (Imane Mufassil), Islam binds believers with obligatory practices.
3. The first of these is to gain knowledge of what is permissible for believers and what is forbidden
to make wise and right choices. The Prophet (PBUH) said: “To gain knowledge of religion is
mandatory on every believing man and woman.”
4. Other obligatory practices include worshipping rituals like prayers and fasting and also zakat,
and hajj for the rich believers.
5. Thus, we learn from this hadith that fulfilling obligations and choosing rightly between
permissible and forbidden matters are enough to be blessed with Paradise.
6. It is reported that among the obligations, we will be first questioned about our obligatory
prayers. The Prophet (PBUH) said: “He who gives up prayer has indeed disbelieved.”
7. We will also be inquired about other obligatory worships like fasting, zakat, and hajj, etc and
our involvement in unlawful matters, and our intention in lawful matters.
8. So, we need to be punctual in our obligations and modest in our actions and speech.

b)

1. We should be punctual in our obligations and should choose rightly between right and wrong.

Knowledge:
2. We should learn about the permissible and forbidden practices (actions and speeches) for us.
3. We should choose rightly and wisely between Halal and Haram and liked and disliked matters
in Islam.
4. We should never stop learning about Deen. The generations of successors and successors of
successors are inspiring for this as they travelled for many years to collect, memorize, and
preserve Ahadith especially Imam Bukhari who travelled for 4 decades to learn 600,000
Ahadith.
5. We should be modest in our choices. We should strictly avoid immoral and sinful practices;
minor and major sins both; should adopt and practice moral values like truthfulness,
mercifulness, and forgiveness.
6. We should keep enhancing our knowledge about our religious beliefs, practices, and the
matters concerning them.

Prayer:
7. We should offer our obligatory prayers regularly and should never miss them.
8. We must offer them on time.
9. If we forget to offer them, we should immediately return them as soon as we remember.
2

10. We should compensate for our missed prayers that we have missed since our adulthood.
11. We should protect our obligatory prayers by developing a habit to offer volunteer prayers
with consistency. Hazrat Bilal (RZ) is inspiring for this; he was consistent to offer volunteer
prayers after every ablution.

Fasting:
12. We should observe the fast of Ramadhan with all of its ethics and requirements.
13. We should never miss or delay the fast of Ramadhan unless we have a genuine excuse.
14. If we are healthy, we should not delay or leave fast for worldly matters like the Cambridge
exams.
15. We should compensate for the missed/delayed fast as soon as the Ramadhan ends.
