Describe the teachings of the following Ahaadith and tell how Muslims
can put these teachings into action. 16 marks

1. A man asked the Holy prophet SAW 'Do you think that if I perform the
obligatory prayers, fast in Ramadan, treat as lawful that which is lawful and
treat as forbidden that which is forbidden and do nothing further, i shall
enter paradise?' He SAW said 'yes'

2. 'Religion is sincerity' we said, 'To whom?' The Prophet said,'To Allah,His

messenger, His Book, the leaders of the Muslims and to their common
people'.

Hadith1:-
This hadith is recorded in the sahih Muslim and it tells us about the peaceful
religion ‘Islam'. It teaches us that if we want to enter paradise then we must keep
away from the acts which are forbidden in Islam. He should follow the 5 pillars of
islam in other words be regular with fasting and prayers. Zakat and hajj are
compulsory on those who are financially strong.This Hadith mainly tells us about
the basic principles of islam and tells that if a person follows these basic principles
he will surely enter paradise.
Muslims can put these teachings in action by being regular with daily prayers and
fasting,avoid the acts which are forbidden in islam,choose rightely between halal
and haram,don’t take haram meat.Looking at your financial status if you are
eligible to give zakat and do hajj fulfill these duties.We can also follow islamic
teachings by staying away from theft and lying.By following these simple steps we
can lead to paradise.The holy prophet said ‘Avoid what I have forbidden you to
do.

Hadith 2:-
This hadith is recorded in both sahihain and tells us about the basic
responsibilities of a true and honest muslim.The holy prophet tells us in this
hadith to follow the relegion of islam with our heart and with enthusiasm which
means that we should not have an unclean heart while following the faith of
islam.The statement ‘religion is sincerity’ shows us about the importance of
honesty in islam.The holy prophet also tells us that we should live our lives as
honest sevants of allah and as clean hearted people of the society.We should
believe and act accordingly to the main principles of islam and not sadden the
people living among us or in the community.
We can put these teachings in action by being loyal to allah and following his path
wholeheartedly.We should worship our allah from our heart and offer all our
devotations to him and no other.We should have genuine faith in allah that he is
our only creator and our god.
