• Final objective: The final objective of this
project is to design a wheelbarrow that can be
operated by one person
with a minimum possible force and to
decrease the risk of injury during operation.
• Project goal: To handle the 150kg weight in
way that the operator will only feel 20kg of it
 Introduction
• The wheelbarrow is an effective tool that has
been used for centuries to help move large
loads of material around
• In Ethiopia, most construction materials are
transported by a hand barrow handled by two
persons.
 Literature review
• Current status on the wheelbarrow in our
country is very low
• There are no companies involved in
manufacturing and selling wheelbarrow.
• The Jackson medium duty wheelbarrow and
Super tuff wheelbarrow are two of the recent
wheelbarrow.
