REPORT

“DISK BRAKE SYSTEM”

Name : Deka Chandra Heryana
Class : XII • TKR
CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION

• The goals in implementing Internship must certainly be known and understood in

• implement street vendors, because of the importance of knowledge, direction, and understanding that must be
addressed and achieved in the implementation of street vendors.
• After the authors carry out industrial work practices (Prakerind) in the workshop, the authors hereby make the
final report that is entitled DISC BRAKE SYSTEM at SMK KARTINI BATAM
• The reasons for choosing the title are as follows:
• 1) At the writer's place carrying out Industrial Work Practices (Prakerind), the writer is in a place in the
workshop section
• 2) The author wants to find out how to DISK BRAKE SYSTEM
CHAPTER II
CONTENT

• -Theoretical Basis
• Brakes function to reduce speed (slow down) and stop the vehicle and provide the possibility to park the vehicle in a
place that decreases. The role of the brake is very important in the engine system, for example in car engines,
motorcycles, washing machines, and so on. In addition, the brakes also have weaknesses that the brakes often
experience failure, this is due to lack of routine maintenance and the cause of the occurrence of the brake failure is the
brake pad runs out (wear), brake fluid runs out, and the leakage occurs on the brake piston seal, brake master, or at
brake hose, therefore brake maintenance must be highly considered.
• The brakes function to reduce vehicle speed or stop the vehicle through the friction mechanism between the brake
components, with the wheels rotating ie brake shoes with brake drum.
• Disk brake most modern cars have implemented this one device. Usually such devices can be found on new vehicle
wheels so that in every use they are maximized and directed.
• Disc brakes are one of the best modern braking systems in cars and are ideal for any car, especially those that have
used large CC capacity engines. The working system of disc brakes is to clamp the discs normally
• mounted on the vehicle wheels through a caliper driven by a piston to push brake shoes (brake pads) to the disc.
• -Description of Activities
• 1. Disc Braking Care
• a. Brake Fluid
• b. Brake Pad Thickness Check
• c. Check Wear and Damage in the Brake Disc
• d. Brake Caliper Check
• e. Disc Thickness Check
• f. Disc Slight Check
• g. Brake Pad Replacement
• h. Piston Into The Caliper To Install A New Brake Pad
• -Supporting and inhibiting factors

• Supporting Factors
• a) Equipment in a complete workshop
• b) Can ask the workshop supervisor
• c) Can help each other with friends and study groups
• d) Much knowledge can be obtained or given to the Workshop
• e) There is a sense of togetherness

• Inhibiting factors
• A lot of equipment in the workshop is broken
• Lots of equipment lost
CHAPTER III
CONLUSION

• Conclusion
• Industrial Work Practices Activities are activities that are very useful for students and can get to know more
about how to work in the field according to the expertise of each student. So students can see a picture of
business activity in the future, and students know the competency standards that will be used as work
opportunities and job opportunities.
