The Cell Cycle

We all live in the same planet, yet some people hide their faces or either moving away from their
struggles and some is positive and confident to overcome their obstacles. Anyone who faces with a
struggle in their life is in a continual battle and only the one who stands firmly through all the barriers
will be victorious in the end. I think that even with all the power and understanding we have, if one gives
up their life simply because of their struggle, then that person also lacks hope and courage to fight
against their barrier and he or she definitely fails. The struggle in our life is like a massive bricked wall
in the course of your life, we can either choose.

As I enter senior high school, my perspectives to life broaden, and once again what I sought for and the
definition of my personal struggle varies too. Knowledge to me in senior high school is not limited in the
eight specific courses we take but nevertheless the significance of wisdom and striving to expand our
global perspectives also becomes another step in shattering the brick wall in my life. However, we must
know when to retreat when necessary because if we wish to advance and triumph over our struggle as
rapidly as possible, this may result in the loss of your battle. I truly believe this simply because a
struggle is an obstacle in our life, we should enjoy the challenges that we’re face with rather than
quickly overcoming your struggle. Now I begin to understand how to manipulate my struggles correctly
so therefore it will become a solution in the future. My struggle symbolizes a compass, it correctly shows
the path of my life and it serves as a force of motivation that pushes me to prevail over my struggle.

In my first General Biology class, my first impression was that it is somewhat exciting because we
thought that we would learn about life and how life works. But as the time passes by to our 1 st
Semester, it gets complicated and complex the way the lesson it is. But it is all worth it because
curiosity is an indication that they are listening well in class. Despite the unfamiliar and enigmatic
topics, it practices our broad understanding in order for us to analyze it for ourselves of the things
that give importance to our knowledge. Some of my classmates said that the General Biology is hard
to understand especially of the terms used in the book and still having the hard time to understand
even if our ever dynamic subject teacher sir Edward teaches us in how many trials has been passed
by because we have this sickness that it is simply memorizing its meaning which the value of learning
is lost. The first quarter has ended I learned a lot in General Biology, and throughout the general
biology unit we were given a lot of information, about genetics, DNA, chromosomes etc. It was an
overload, but with a lot thinking and organization we were able to understand all topics that were
covered. I learned a lot! I found it very fascinating to learn about why I look the way I do. Also, I now
know what my blood type is and what the likelihood of me getting it was. It was a very fascinating unit.
In addition, I learned about genetic variation and why everyone isn’t the same. This topic was very
interesting. In conclusion, I feel very confident with my biology knowledge because we did a lot of
activities and reviews to clarify everything. Plus, I studied a lot! I believe this unit really made me
realize why and how we are created. Throughout this unit I started making connections with other
people. I have a friend that is quite small, then I met his parents and I understood that genetics made
him that way. I find it fascinating that there is a science behind people. But now I know how to manage
my time. If there is no struggle, there is no progress and struggle teach you a lot of things and I am
happy because the journey has improved me as a person and made me more mature.
