Topic; Area of measurement at HBL for assessment of
performance of employees and departments at HBL.
Departments of HBL:
Retail banking department;
Retail banking department or personal banking department is at counter Retail banking, also
known as consumer banking or personal banking, is banking that provides financial services to
individual consumers rather than businesses. This department performs functions like
checking, savings, and money market account. Certificates of deposits debit cards and atm
facilities, cashier check and branch information.

Lending department;
Consumer lending department is designed to offer loans to consumers and small business
consists both front and back-office activity these loans include auto loan mortgage loan small
business loan home loans student loans

Private banking department;


This department provides products and services to high-net-worth individuals eg personal
finance planning retirement planning insurance annuities etc.

Corporate banking department;


This department serves as clientele to large corporates businesses and conglomerates with loan
products and services.

Treasury department;
An important department as it helps corporate invest in various treasury products and also
provide services when they offer buying and selling of currency when they are expecting from
other countries

Credit risk management department;


Mostly the team working closely to head office and determines clients for default risk
underwrite loans and other products to major customers they look into market risk.
Finance department;
Deals with management of human capital of bank.
Finance department;
HBL has elaborate finance department for anything like money.
Admin department;
Like other companies work for infrastructure requirements.

Area of measurement at HBL for assessment of performance of


employees at Retail banking department.
HBL contains five measurement areas for assessment of employee performance which are;
o Productivity
o Individual \attributes
o Technology
o Customer Service
o Personal

1.PRODUCTIVITY:
About the performance of employee in the clerical field. Employees knowledge in term of TD
clearing/Bill ledger posting, Timely Lodgement of clearing and filing and record keeping is
assessed

2. INDIVIDUAL ATTRIBUTES:
About the employee’s attribute or properties in performing job including professionalism sense
of responsibilities and ability to work without supervisor and ability to deal in situation like
cash shortage or Written Communication ability

3.TECHNOLOGY:
The capability of using of technology of employee is assessed that whether he has knowledge
in computer applications emails and internet

4. CUSTOMER SERVICE:
The motivational and dedicated level of employee toward customer service is also assessed
especially courtesy to customer and creative response to customers' needs

5. PERSONAL:
Personality of employee is also important measurement area assessment is carried out in term
of appearance intelligence manner or speech health and energy level and punctuality.
