Grade XII Biology Project.

Dear learners, for this crucial academic year, your project will be Article writing on some biology topics
from chapter – ‘Human health and diseases’ and some outside the textbook.

❖ You have to prepare a Project file of an Article of one page and present it in front of your biology teacher.

❖ At the very beginning of your Article, you have to introduce your topic (Disease) with its basic
characteristics and the micro-organism causing the disease. Kindly mention factors which indicates
easy identification such as structure of the microbe. Introduction can also involve some history (1-2
points), which gives an idea about the origin of the disease. Date should be mentioned at top extreme
right of article page.

❖ After introduction, learners have to mention the symptoms found in the patients who have cracked
the disease along with the mechanism of the microbe to affect the host organism.
(SECOND PART OF THE PAGE)

❖ Straight after the symptoms and mechanisms, diagnostics (test to identify the disease) and
therapeutics (treatment for the disease) should be mentioned with some important preventive
measures. Learners willing to add a case study about the diseases have liberty and can extend the
one page article to two page article. (Case study is optional)

❖ Article should be handwritten by the learners and diagram/printed pictures can be attached to the
file.

Project file will be consisting of 4 pages, where PAGE 1, PAGE 2 and PAGE 4 should be printed
copy and only article (PAGE 3) can be handwritten. Sequence to be followed while preparing
the PROJECT FILE.

PAGE 1 – a) School Logo (Will be provided on school app)

b) Name, Standard, Roll no. of the learner

c) Topic (Name of the disease)

PAGE 2 – Certificate (Will be provided by school)

writing of my subject under the guidance of our biology teacher.

Learners will be divided into groups by respected subject teacher; learners will individually make their own

To make a promising and efficient article based project file, learners can refer internet based information for
topics not mentioned as well as topics mentioned in textbook. A sample article paper is already attached
below as a format for article. SAMPLE ARTICLE IS FOR UNDERSTANDING THE STRUCTURE OF THE ARTICLE.
