JOB TITLE Dental Technician DEPARTMENT Dental (Clinical)

REPORTS TO Manager Human Resource GRADE

Job Purpose
The Dental Technician shall support dental care delivery by preparing the
treatment room, patient, instruments, and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
I. Assists dental surgeons in performing a variety of treatment procedures.
II. Ensures that instruments/equipment being used in examinations and
III. procedures are properly sterilized.
IV. Prepare and send all instruments to (CSSD) for sterilization and maintain a
record
V. Maintain patient dental record and keeps OPD register up-to-date.
VI. Assist to perform dental radiographs (x-rays).
VII. Maintains a stock register of equipment, instruments, etc.
VIII. Shall teach appropriate oral hygiene strategies to the patients to maintain oral
health.
IX. Must help patients to feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
X. Performs any other professional duty assigned by the in charge.

Qualification/ Experience:
Basic Qualification: Matric, FSC
Professional Qualification: Two-year diploma in Dental Technician from Punjab Medical
Faculty (PMF)
Experience: Two years relevant work experience
