What is the study all about?

The Aim of the study is to look into the Factors Responsible for Poor English Reading Comprehension
at Elementary Level.

What the societal significance is?

The importance of English reading comprehension by the language policy in Pakistan as English is the
language of education and research. Without developing English reading comprehension, higher
education and research are very difficult. Reading is an activity which involves comprehensions and
interpretations of ideas symbolized by written or printed page. It is clear, without this ability readers
would find themselves confronted with strange and weird symbols which would make no sense for
them

How the findings will lead to the societal advances?

This research will also help researchers in future to move forward with a better vision to improve
reading comprehension. The role of reading skill in improving other linguistic skills and the role of
reading skill in our educational systems will also be brought in consideration

(Title 2) Learner satisfaction, engagement and performances in the Modular Learning

(Research Agenda)_________________
What is the study all about?
In this study, the researcher will analyze student feedback and report the findings of a study of the
relationships between student satisfaction and their engagement in the Modular Learning with their
overall performances.

What the societal significance is?

An essential element for quality modular learning is learner engagement. Learner engagement refers
to the effort the learner makes to promote his or her psychological commitment to stay engaged in
the learning process, to acquire knowledge and build his or her critical thinking. While there are
different conceptualizations of student engagement, advocates learning and tend to lay emphasis on
the analysis of the new platform access logs on learning resources when it comes to student
engagement in modular learning.

How the findings will lead to the societal advances?

The findings of this research contribute to the existing knowledge through new insights into
determining students’ engagement in modular learning that follow an activity-based learning design
approach. In line with other research that learning dispositions, such as the reported engagement,
perceived satisfaction and student feedback elements could be useful dimensions to add to a learning
design ecosystem to improve student learning experiences with the objective to move towards a
competency and outcomes-based learning model.

(Title 3) FLIPPED CLASSROOM MODEL IN READING COMPREHENSION

(Research Agenda)_________________
What is the study all about?

The purpose of this review is to examine the effect of flipped classroom model in reading
comprehension.
What the societal significance is?

Learning English as a foreign language in a school context raises reading to become the skill that is
critically important to students. Reading is a necessity for students if they want to expand their
knowledge. Through reading, students grasp useful information. The information that the students
have read simply broaden their knowledge. Thus, it is really helpful for the students to build their
background knowledge in order to get ready in the classroom learning process

How the findings will lead to the societal advances?

A flipped learning approach, a newly emerged teaching model, has the potential to address the
constraints of EFL classroom contexts (Lee & Wallace, 2018). It allows more time for students to learn
inside and outside the classroom because of the inverted learning process with the utilization of
technology (Bergmann & Sams, 2012). In a flipped classroom, lectures are removed, and the removed
content is often delivered to students through pre-class input materials such as video recordings, e-
books, presentation slides, and etcetera. Students can study various types of materials (e.g., readings
from a textbook and worksheets developed by their teacher) on their own outside of class time and
grasp the meaning of the content.
