Dear Hiring Team,

I write this to introduce myself as a candidate for the Aerodynamics Engineer opening. I am including my
resume which lists my qualifications and trainings in Aerospace engineering and 4+ years of experience. My visa
grants me full rights to work in the Netherlands without sponsorship.
My previous experience research and development in Fluid Dynamics CFD projects, Aircraft structures through
stress and fatigue analysis of structural components, and suggesting improvements based on test outcomes,
introduction to simulations using AVL fire like modelling, run a Simulation and Review Results makes me a strong
candidate for the opening.
I am one of the few fortunate aerospace engineers who has a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from
two reputed universities in the world, NTU Singapore and TUM Germany.
I have gained experience working as a:
Research Assistant at University of Pisa: doing CFD simulations of bluff bodies with transverse groves to
reduce drag by 27%. I extensively used CATIA V5 for pre-processing design works and model creation, geometry
preparation, clean up, meshing in Gambit to capture boundary layers in the recirculation zones. And Flow
Visualization using TecPlot and MATLAB for post-processing. I was involved in wind tunnel testing collecting data
out of tests. I received commendation and two appreciation letters for my proactive and enthusiastic nature,
strong communication skills; and out of the box thinking.
• CONVERGE CFD 3.0: design and simulate in 2D and 3D flows and validation cases on channel flows, flow
over a throttle body, Prandtl Meyer Shock flow, conjugate Heat transfer Flow simulations, Ahmed body and an
FSAE car.
• OpenFoam: Academic projects on backward facing steps, flow through pipes.
• ANSYS: CFD analysis aircraft components like wing/airfoil, Design and Fatigue analysis of hand pump parts
for corporate clients, a missile flow simulation as a validation case.
• CATIA V5, SIEMENS NX: learned the CAD design standards to be followed in Europe, China and India keeping
Volvo and Boeing parts as case studies hoping to upskill my grasp in CATIA and SIEMENS NX
• STAR CCM+ projects for clients, based on 2Dand 3D simulations of Multiphase, VOF, Discrete phase and
mixture models
Senior Engineer at Infosys Engineering Units for clients like Spirit AeroSystems. We created cost sheets
based on complex 3D CATIA designs and 2D CAD engineering drawings of Airbus parts. Being a team player I
Initiated KT session for teammates without aerospace background to reduce knowledge gaps and motivate them
to learn on the job so that everyone thrives, regardless of their engineering background. This helped my
teamwork with optimal efficiency and a better understanding of WHY they were doing WHAT they were doing. I
was promoted to a Senior Engineer position because of this.
Finally, I thank you for your time considering my application, I look forward to talking to you soon and hope to
actively support your team as a new member.
Yours truly,
Mrunal Krishnan
