Project – 1: Replacement of hydraulic actuator withElectric actuator for hood lifting of

CS10GC single drum vibratory compactor
 Force calculations required to lift the hood (150 Kg).
 Decision making on hinge point of electric actuators and hood.
 Selection of electric actuator from Thomson linear actuators, based on force calculated
and stroke length required to lift the hood 72° ~ 75°.
 Safety measures discussion with Thomson linear electric actuator. Inclusion of anti-slip
clutch to avoid any fatal accidents/injuries in case of power failure.
 3D modeling of hinge plates, bushes of electric actuator mounting.
 Manufacturing drawing creation and release of drawings and engineering orders.

Project – 2: Mounting bracket design for battery and toolbox

 Concept design of mounting bracket for battery and toolbox and concept selection using
pugh’s matrix.
 Calculations to arrive at the bolt sizes and bolt grade selection to mount the bracket on to
Chassis or rear frame.
 Selecting door latches for door locking and door hinges to swing open the door. Decision
on number of hinges for the door.
 3D modelling of selected concept and assembly creation with due adherence to DFM

Project – 3: Reverse engineering of hub and carrier differential (localization of parts)

 Modelling of casting products as per engineering drawing of clients and applying GD &T
