COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course aims to furnish and equip the students with knowledge, aptitudes, and skills vital in managing and organizing our everyday
living. The various activities and EPP drills will hone the flexibility and adaptability of the students to their environment. It is also important to
underscore that this subject combines theory and practice. This course is one of a kind because it has practical application, and as such, it can lead
ultimately to a vocal pursuit. EPP also develops the student’s ability to manage both human and material resources to fit into his and his family’s
needs.

COURSE REQUIREMENT/S:
The students are required to attend classes and perform quizzes, and other activities.

COURSE EVALUATION/ GRADING SYSTEM:


Written Works: 60%
Quarterly Assessments (Exams): 40%

At the end of the unit, the students should be able to:

3. Know the proper food storage and preparation.
4. Know the rudiments of menu planning and catering services.
5. Be able to start a business from recycling, food preservation, and online selling.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
 To recognize the importance of Home Economics in the proper management of the Filipino home, resources, and materials.
 To emphasize the role of Home Economics in promoting and protecting the well-being of individuals, families, and communities.
 To understand the role of Home Economics in facilitating the development of human attributes for lifelong learning, entrepreneurship, and
other practical application.
 To develop activities that emphasize the development of desirable work attitudes, basic work skills, and habits, and the production of useful
articles through learning situations relevant to everyday chores at home, school, and the community.
 To emphasize the use of the three domains, namely: cognitive, affective, and psychomotor in the various learning competencies.
