INTRODUCTION

As we know in today’s market, nobody wants to represent themself, their

product, their commercial enterprise from the point of weakness.

This concept has led many businesses to push their product to its excellent
manageable level, which is very accurate in the trendy generation, which lets
in nowadays being extra capable, extra superior to live to tell the tale in the
market or to be defined from a role of energy.

To chase this role, many organizations build up fake images or offer less
expertise in their incompetence to improve their sales and brand photo.

This can be very dangerous as these faux statistics, much less information or no
records, may lead the customer selection and cause serious harm like fitness,
cash, emotional damage, etc.

To lessen these damages, we've purchaser safety legal guidelines purported to

defend customers from those damages. Still, there are many methods
customers were fooled and got trapped, and with the exchange of time, these
laws now do not offer the good enough stage of safety to consumers.

THE CASE OF INSECT-REPELLENT-SPRAY

Talking about Indian households, most of them are quantized with dangerous
and chemical substances, and we too use them in our daily lives.

One of them is DDVP (dichlorovinyl dimethyl phosphate), found in insect and

fly repellent.

It is banned in numerous nations but not in India. According to WHO, DDVP is

rated as 1st class poison. It can lead to neurological, reproductive, respiratory,
and heart problems and even trigger cancer. If inhaled in massive proportions,
DDVP could kill, say experts.

Above are the ads they show to make the customer trust their brand and use
them thinking about their safety.

They use a severe mind-catching advertisement to make the customer trust

them without even knowing its side effects.

There are many side effects of these:

Breathing difficulty, Coughing., Loss of alertness (stupor), Upset stomach,

including cramps, stomach pain, nausea, and Vomiting.

THE REASON BEHIND THE ISSUES:

As we all know we live in a country where the market competition is one of the
highest in the world. Here people always prefer the quantitative factor, but
very few also like the qualitative aspect.
So, to understand it in-depth, we should go through all the Consumer
Protection Laws:

1. Right to choose - Complete

freedom was given to consumers
regarding choosing other
brands, and even other flavors
were offered as a combo deal.

2. Right to hear - Full consultation was given by almost all the companies to
know their need and then suggest the best.

3. Right to seek redressal- Most companies cleaned their lousy image by a

silent settlement of about 100 million dollars in different parts of the world.

4. Right to Consumer Education- All possible labeling was carefully done with
highlighting the components in the labels and all the packaging material
even in tv commercials, which also served as the right to be informed.

5. Right to safety - At that period, most of them got ASTM (American Society
for Testing and Materials) AND ISI mark which safeguards people. Still, the
harmful substance was not highlighted negatively or from a position of
weakness.

BUSINESS VS ETHICS:

So, what is business ethics?

Business ethics looks at appropriate business guidelines and practices

regarding potentially arguable topics such as corporate governance, insider
trading, bribery, discrimination, company social responsibility, and fiduciary
duties.

One vital question is whether or not globalization's excessive marketplace

opposition will cause shadier commercial practices inside the destiny. In the
coming years, it's clear that moral challenges will evolve as globalization
continues. As corporate operations and providers unfold to each corner of the
sector, one of the primary business issues is to ensure all employees' rights are
correctly safeguarded.

Having ethical & ethical fee offer agencies a competitive benefit. Their clients
tend to consider and assist the ethical brands in their choice, even in tough
instances.

Ethics also help us in developing a healthier place of work lifestyle. It produces
surroundings in which each employee is aware that they will be treated with
recognizing, lower employee churn, higher work productivity ratio & lastly,
creating better morale.

INITIATIVES TO ADDRESS SOCIAL ISSUES:

In contemporary fast-transferring,
things alternate in the fraction of
the regulation nevertheless
protects us; however, due to
innovation and advancements, we
are making the legal guidelines
susceptible using developing a
loophole and blurry vision of what
is legal and not legal vs. what's
ethical and not ethical.

So, in my view, there need to be rules and norms which state all groups to
provide disclosure of all harmful effects and poor influences on purchasers in
the long run as correctly as inside the short run, and this has to be certainly
disclosed within the identical way of the product promoted there.

Customers and consumers must be treated fairly by the company. They need
to be more ethical and not deceive the public with their labeling. Not letting
customers know the exact numbers on the labels puts their lives in danger.
