Nancy Mace (Republican Party) is a United States representative for the R-SC 1st Congressional
District, and is running for re-election as of 2022. She believes in protecting women’s rights, and
that “biological men should not compete against women and girls in sports.” She wrote in her
campaign website, “The radical view of abortions for any reason up until birth is barbaric and
not supported by the vast majority of Americans.” Nancy Mace also wrote, “I entered politics as
a pro-life woman, and I remain one.” She believes that more states should follow South
Carolina’s lead and make birth control over the counter, provided by a pharmacist without a
doctor’s visit. She wants to provide more resources for prenatal care, health care, postpartum
care, legal services and adoption for women in need. She also wrote, “A stable economy with
good paying jobs are the keys to prosperity for Lowcountry families.” She also wants to continue
the creation of the Southern border wall. She wrote about her frustrations with the mandatory
vaccinations for U.S. troops but not immigrants. She had wrote on twitter, “First it was mandated

second amendment. If you are a law-abiding gun-owner, I have no interest in your guns. Frankly,
I have never been particularly interested in a conversation about guns, but I am interested in a
conversation about bullet holes in children, and what we can do to prevent them. I will carry the
stories of my patients with me and I will never stop fighting for common sense gun laws.” She
also wrote about her experiences as a pediatrician, working with children and their families for
numerous years. She stated, “It was never part of my plan to run for Congress. I love being a
doctor. But I am frustrated with the politics in Washington, DC. Governing shouldn’t be about
scoring political points or toeing the party line. Governing should be about helping people. I
truly believe that if we work together, we can lift each other up and no one is more deserving of
that than the children of our communities. I am running for Congress to solve real problems for
the people of the Lowcountry.” ( Source) Annie Andrews stated that she supported what was
under Roe V. Wade, which was access to abortion services up until the point of fetal viability
(which is generally thought to be around 24 weeks and beyond that point.) She stated in an
interview, “It needs to be a decision made between a woman and her doctor,” as well as “To
require young women who are victims of rape or incest to report that crime to law enforcement,
that is not an appropriate way to handle an abortion bill.” Annie Andrews believes that her

away from harmful energy production practices and invest in clean and renewable energy
sources.” He also wants to protect America’s natural resources by enhancing national standards
for clean air and water as well as invest in applied research to rid the oceans and waterways of
plastics and toxins. Joseph Oddo brought up the plan to expand, reforest, and restore millions of
acres of public as well as recreational land and waters on his campaign website. He also wants to

He supports the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s efforts to protect the nearly

that people who look like her and come from backgrounds like hers are often affected the most

freedom, address inadequate access to healthy food, make measures to increase public
transportation methods, fund resources to foster clean air, and address contaminated water issues.

Carroll O’Neal is the republican candidate for S.C. House of Representatives District 116. A
large issue that Carroll O’neal has addressed via his website. He states “Infrastructure in our

keep up the pace. We need applicable resources to help us fund these projects in a reasonable

poorly maintained infrastructure in our district. Examples include the mess on River Road and

our area”. Parts of the district go underwater everytime there is a rainstorm. He believes that
taxpayer dollars are not being put to good use by legislators, and states that he will work to make
