Blaž Mencinger is a guitarist who has been pushed into the spectrum of a singer-songwriter by a
vein for writing insightful lyrics. He builds his performance on intimate musical narratives, but he
can't resist the entertaining tricks with which he jokingly connects the concert into a story.
Through vitality, he establishes a genuine relationship with the listeners and actively involves
them in the concert. The main theme is love and other injustices of the world with a touch of
self-irony, and musically it moves between pop, indie and jazz.
As a singer-songwriter, he introduced himself to the music scene at the beginning of 2021. After
receiving the second prize at the festival of singer-songwriters (Kantfest), he announced an
independent musical path with the release of his debut "You're Not" and later "Eyebrows". He
premiered most of his repertoire as a singer-songwriter at the Godibodi Festival at Ljubljana
Castle 2021, and later on other Slovenian stages, both in solo performance and with a wider
ensemble. In March this year, his debut EP entitled Prisoner of Memories was released, which
was presented at Kavarna Drama, and later in several interviews and radio concerts on Radio
Prvi, Val202 and Radio Maribor and others.
Matjaž Ambrožič wrote about him for 24ur: "He is a young artist who composes very thoughtful
indie-pop. And I guarantee that he will at least comfort us many times in the future, if not make
me laugh. Really great."
FAIRY TALES FOR OUTDOOR FREAKS
A diverse accompanying program is returning to this year's Soča Outdoor Festival, and with it, of
course, Fairy Tales for outdoor freaks. Definitely one more reason to come to Tolmin on Friday!
WHEN: Friday, 1. 7. 2022, at 21.00
And who will be with us?
Boštjan Videmšek, journalist: Military journalism, environmental protection and tail run
Luka Hren, organizer of Julian Alps Trail Run: JAT Trail among the 30 largest trail run events
in the world
Stojan Mervič, organizer of the Parafestival with guests Sandi Novak and Uroš Žagar:
Athletes and extremists with disabilities
Viljam Kvalič, director of Turizem Dolina Soče: Organization of events within the Giro d'Italia
Boštjan Videmšek (1975) has been a war reporter for many yeas
already. For the past twenty-five years, he has reported from all the
key hotspots of war. He collaborates with Delo in Slovenia and with
many of the world's largest magazines and newspapers abroad. He
is also a geo-political commentator, an ambassador of the
European Climate Pact, a young leader of Europe and the author of
seven books. As an obsessive runner, among others - along with
Sam Rugl and Žiga X. Gombač - also Ultrablues, a book about
ultramarathon running in the USA. His latest book, The Last Two,
co-written with his wife Maja Prijatelj Videmšek, is the story of the
last two northern white rhinos and the extinction of animal species.
He is also the author of two theatrical performances. "Rokova
modrna" is the story of the legendary skier Rok Petrović, and "Lau (f)
Story" is the story of the greatest runner of all time - Emil Zatopek.
Sandi Novak is a former Paralympian. Before the accident, Sandi was a completely normal man, who was
also active in sports, but nothing special. About 15 years ago, he had a serious accident in which he almost
went blind. After the accident, he did not give up at all, but became even more active, while still remaining
smiling, cheerful and kind. He started to seriously train running and in 2016 he achieved an outstanding 8th
place in the marathon at the Paralympics in Rio. Sandi is a really interesting and pleasant interlocutor and
we believe that his story will not leave you indifferent.
Uroš Žagar, a local from Tolmin, is a disabled athlete who, despite being paraplegic, rides a kayak on the
Soča river, rides an adapted MTB and flies - yes, he really flies with a parachute. He will share his
experiences with us and talk about his adventures.
Luka Hren is a big outdoor activity lover, especially trail running
and hiking. He participated in numerous trail and ultra-trail races
across Europe. He also has years of experience in the area of
coaching runners and running groups, because he is a kinesiologist
by profession, who also works as a running coach. One of his
biggest advantages is understanding specific wishes trail runners
have – from his own as well as from his clients’ perspective.
He also works with Salomon Slovenia and Croatia, where he’s in
charge of organizing group runs, known as Salomon Running
Academy. He owns a company called KinVital, where one of his
areas of expertise is working with runners. He is also one of the
main organizers of Julian Alps Trail Run and a co-founder of the
running league Alpe Adria Trail Cup.

or Saturday. Visit their tent and see how you can
prepare a snack for a run in a more natural and
environmentally friendly way.
Runners on adidas Terrex 15km, beware! Do you want a particularly attractive photo that will
adorn your Instagram / Facebook profile or will be a very nice memory of your experience? After
