MAHARAJA PRITHVIRAJ CHAUHAN

Maharaja Prithviraj Chauhan was the person who inspired me the most and who I chose. He was
regarded as one of the greatest Rajput Emperors. Prithviraj Chauhan, a hero who bravely fought
against the Muslim kings' invasion, is widely regarded as a heroic Indian king. After his father,
Someshvara, died in 1177 CE, Prithviraj took over the kingdom at the age of 11. When the young
king was crowned, he inherited a kingdom that stretched from Sthanvishvara in the north to Mewar
in the south. Because Prithviraj was still a child when he ascended to the throne, his mother,
Karpuradevi, was named his guardian.

According to "Prithviraja Vijaya," Prithviraj Chauhan allegedly knew six different languages.
Another eulogy poem, Prithviraj Raso, claims that Prithviraj was knowledgeable in a variety of
fields, including mathematics, medicine, history, theology, philosophy, and the military. Prithviraj
was an expert at archery. He built Qila Rai Pithora here after ascending to the throne of Delhi. His
entire life was a never-ending string of bravery, courage, chivalrous doings. At the age of thirteen,
he defeated the mighty Bheemdev, ruler of Gujarat.During this period, Mahmud Ghori attacked
India in 1191 and was defeated at the first battle of Tarain. After defeating Mahmud Ghori's army,
he was asked to attack the retreating army, but in true Rajput fashion, he refused because it did not
follow fair war rules. As a result, Mahmud ghori attacked India again, and Prithviraj Chauhan was
defeated and captured in the second battle of Tarain. He was mistreated, his eyes were burned with
red-hot irons, and he was rendered blind. Prithviraj, on the other hand, did not give up. He is said to
have killed Mahmud ghori with his "shabdabhedi baan" with the help of his court poet and friend
Chand Bardai. His ability to hit the target solely on the basis of the sound made by it comes in
handy. He also demonstrated his skill during the archery competition organised by Mahmud ghori.
He heard Mahmud ghori's voice and attacked him when he praised him. Mahmud Ghori was
assassinated.

In his epic poem Prithviraj Raso, Chand Bardai compiled the story of Prithviraj Chauhan's life.
Prithviraj Chauhan died in 1192, bringing an end to a period of bravery, courage, patriotism, and
fundamentals. The deeds of Prithviraj Chauhan have been immortalised by Prithviraj Raso of
Chand Bardai and Prithviraj Vijay of Jayanak. Prithviraj Chauhan's valiant deeds have been
depicted in several Indian films and television shows, including "Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan" and
"Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan." Numerous memorials honour the valiant Rajput ruler in Ajmer,
Delhi, and other cities. The above-mentioned scriptures and shows can be used to learn more about
PrithviRaj Chahuan.

I chose him as a personality because I was very interested in researching and learning more about
him. Prithviraj Chauhan was one of the few rulers who had the ability to let go. Even after capturing
and defeating his main adversary, he let him go. Along with his bravery, his love for his country is
an inspiration to me.
