About H.A. College of Commerce (HACC)

Haridas Achratlal College of Commerce began in 1956 when Sheth Shri Haridas Achratlal, a philanthropic businessman and
visionary, made a generous donation to Gujarat Law Society to establish this educational institute. H.A. College of Commerce
is a grant-in-aid college, affiliated to Gujarat University and approved by the U.G.C.

Our Management Gujarat Law Society

GLS is a premier educational group, established in 1927 by industrialist, Shri Kasturbhai Lalbhai, Shri Ganesh Mavlankar,
who would later on become the first Speaker of independent India, and the Iron Man of India, Hon.Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Since nine decades, GLS has been spearheaded by potent and ideal leaders who have taken the various organizations,
individually, and the entire trust, as a whole, forward and upward.

Shri Sudhir Nanavati, an internationally renowned advocate and social reformer, heads GLS today as the Executive Vice-
president. He is also President of the new and emerging GLS University. Shri Devang Nanavati, a national leader and famed
advocate, is the Honorary Secretary of GLS.

Course Timings

Bachelor in Commerce (B.Com.) 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Masters in Commerce (M.Com) 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Study Abroad Programme

HACC has a Memorandum of Understanding with New Jersey City University (NJCU), USA, through the generous donation
of alumnus, Mr. Chirag Patel, Co-founder and Co-CEO of Amneal Pharmaceuticals, USA. Under this MoU, five selected and
eligible students of the college are sent to study the MBA programme at NJCU with a 100% scholarship of the tuition fees.
These students should be active and regular students of HACC for all three years of B.Com and should have a first class at all
levels of study.

Niswarth Scholarships for Post-graduation

Alumnus, Mr. Chirag Patel, has further donated scholarships to HACC students for post graduation studies anywhere in India.
These students should be active and regular students of HACC for all three years of B.Com. The best ten students are selected
by the college for this scholarship.
Niswarth Course

This is an add-on course conducted at the college for interested students, inspired by Mr. Chirag Patel. The course will have
experts and dignitaries from all over Gujarat to conduct lectures. Nominal fees will be charged from the students, to be refunded
to them at the end of the course. The fees will include:

• 60 hours of course lectures plus training

• Industrial visits and visits to accountancy firms and financial organizations
• Return of fees to students who have more than 80% attendance
• Certificate at the end of the course

Scholarships for deserving students

Our alumni have generously contributed towards different scholarships for students who cannot afford to pay for their under-
graduate education. Deserving students are selected and given these scholarships.
