2. A company makes cereal boxes in the shape of a right prism.

Each large box has dimensions 25 cm by 8 cm by 36 cm.

a. Calculate the volume in cubic centimeters, of one large cereal box.

Volume of cubiod=length ×breadth × height
Volume of Cuboid=25 cm ×8 cm ×36 cm
3
Volume of cuboid =7200 c m
1 mark
b. Calculate the total surface area of ONE large cereal box.

Total Surface Area=2 ( length ×breadth ) + ( breadth × height ) + ( length× height )

Total Surface Area=2 ( 25 cm× 8 cm ) +2 ( 8 cm×36 cm ) +2 ( 25 cm× 36 cm )

c. The cereal from ONE large box can exactly fill six small boxes, each of equal
i. Calculate the volume of one small cereal box.

Volume of one small cereal box=Volume of Large cereal box ÷ six small cereal boxes

Volume of one small cereal box=7200 c m3 ÷ 6

ii. If the height of a small box is 20 cm, list two different pairs of values
which the company can use for the length and width of a small box.
Volume=Length ×breadth × height

1200 c m =length× breadth ×20 cm

1200 c m3
=length× breadth
20 cm
6 ocm=length × breadth
Hence the length∧breadth when multiplied will be equal ¿ 60 cm
