‘STATE OF THE CHILDREN’S ADDRESS’

In this year’s celebration of the children’s month, our government’s action plan for children to
progressively realize the rights of the children focuses on the following goals:
1. Children of our community will have a better quality and improved way of life;
2. Children of our community should be well nourished, have healthy lives and with good
quality education become productive learners;
3. Children of our community are free from violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation; and
4. Children of our community are actively participating in decision-making processes
affecting their lives according to their evolving capacities.
In addition, these will compliment the implementation of The Local Government and the
Barangay’s Plan of Action to End Violence against Children through the following strategies:
 Altering Norms and values
- Promotion of evidence-based, age appropriate and gender responsive Parenting
Program

 Education and Life Skills

- Integration of age appropriate life skills and personal lesson in the school curriculum
and in community
- Ensuring that children attend school

 Access/provision of support and responsive services

- Provision of appropriate and quality protective, social, mental, health, legal and
judicial services

 Implementation and Enforcement of laws

- By adopting Local Governments Ordinances for implementation in the barangay level
and make appropriate frameworks for the barangay.
- Continuously setting up of monitoring mechanisms on the implementation of relevant
laws for the protection of children
 Strengthening the quality of structures and mechanisms for children
 Engaging and mobilizing our Barangay’s Children and Youth to make our community
change. As an advocate of education, we have partnership with the LGU and the QC
DepED for the OSY Alternative Learning System continuous education.

With this year’s theme “KALUSUGAN, KAISIPAN at KAPAKANAN ng BAWAT

BATA TUTUKAN”. Magtulungan lamang po tayo mga magulang upang maging
maayos ang kinabukasan ng ating mga anak. Lagi natin tatandaan na di kahirapan ang
 dahilan kaya patuloy na naghihirap ang pamayanan, kungdi ang katamaran sa
paggabay sa mga anak. Hindi lamang po tungkulin ng gobyerno ang magsaway,
magpa-aral at magpakain sa inyong mga anak, ito po ay inyong pananagutan, tayo
lamang po sa gobyerno ay tumutulong sa abot ng ating makakaya. Gumawa ng mga
programang naaayon para sa kanila, subali’t kayo po magulang ang unang
tagapagturo ng tama sa inyong mga anak.
