DEFINITION
It is a form of verb used to express an action or situation that started in the past and is still
continuing today. Or an event that has passed but its effects can still be felt today, still continuing
today. This tense is usually used to talk about experiences or changes in a place.It is the opposite
of the present perfect continuous tense. This sentence is not used or spoken because it has its
own formula.

FUNCTION
1. Expressing an event that happened after it happened/has been done, then when the
conversation took place, there was a perceived consequence
2. Expressing something that happened since a time in the past which is still related to the
present (when the conversation happened)
3. Talking about experiences but not specifically
4. Show a change
5. Declare an achievement or result
6. Disclosing activities that have been carried out, but have not been completed to date
7. Telling activities that occur at different time periods
8.Actions repeat indefinitely between past and present
9.To express an event or action that just finished/ended (using addition + just)
10. Telling something that is not important enough or submitting a question/statement that you
don't know the answer to

FORMULTION
The formula of the simple present tense affirmative is;
Subject + Basic Form(V1)+'s' or 'es' + rest of sentence
If the subject is he, she, there is an addition of 's' or 'ice' to the basic form. For example, He takes
medicine every day.
If the subject is you, we, them or any plural form, only the base form is used. For example, They
take medicine every day.
Simple Present Tense Negative
Subject + don't / no + basic form + the rest of the sentence
With singular subject we use 'no' whereas with plural, we use 'don't'.

Simple Present Tense Negative :
* He does not take medicine every day.
* They do not take medicine every day.
Simple present tense interrogative :
* Does he take medication every day?
