AND RECOMMENDATIONS

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The researcher found that there is an overpopulation inside the prison, there is no

enough facilities that will accommodate all the PDLs inside the prison security camps. Through

this, the researcher discovers that it is desirable to have a new construction of New Bilibid

Prison through redevelopment with a high security standards. Also, the researcher found out

that the problems in prison facilities are not just in number of facilities but also in quality of

services. With the help of data and recommendations gathered from different sectors. It’s highly

recommended to follow the advice, tips and standards gathered thru interview, observation and

what written in books and research materials, with assurance the development will be a

successful. The proponent was advice to search for different prison facilities in the Philippines

and to other countries that are related to the researcher project and to gather more data from

these sectors.

CONCLUSIONS

Based on the research findings and computation, the following conclusions were

drawn:

The various programs of the New Bilibid Prison are highly-effective in addressing the

needs and concerns of the PDLs while they are still serving their terms of punishment and in

preparation for their eventual release to the civil community. The religious program may have

demonstrated the highest effectiveness among the different programs, but justified in as much

as the PDLs really have their faith while inside the NBP.

The National Institute for Reformation and Rehabilitation is a redevelopment that helps a

lot for the problems of the prison facilities Philippines. Problems like insufficient of prison

facilities for PDLs.

(1) The project aim to reintegrate PDLs into the society, start to resurrect their dreams,

empowering former victims and helps them to live-out the future that rightfully belongs to

them. This project is not only a solution for the problems in the prison facilities in the

Philippines but also it will be a model or a template for all next prison facilities in the

Philippines.

(2) It is important to acknowledge the reference that can help in having quality and high

security standards for prison facilities. It is also to have any other related studies or

reference in designing the security. It is also possible to refer in the international prison

facilities that are related to the project.

(3) The rehabilitation and reformation programs should be well- implemented in order to

have an effective reformation and rehabilitation programs to the PDLs. Through these

programs, it can also help them to enhance their skills and talents. The core objective in

the administration of these circumferential reformation programs is the effective

treatment of anti-social behavior and destructive personality disorders of an inmate.

(4) It’s highly recommended to follow the advice, tips and standards gathered thru interview,

observation and what written in books and research materials, with assurance the

development will be a successful to establish an excellent and effective redevelopment

of New Bilibid Prison. It is also necessary to research for different prison facilities in the

Philippines and to other countries that are related to the researcher project and to gather

more data from these sectors.
