Welcome to another mystery shawl knit-a-long (Duchess MKAL 2021

Spring Edition)!

Length of the KAL: 19 weeks (March 1 to July 9)

This year’s first Mystery Knit-along 2021 (Duchess MKAL 2021 Spring Edition) lasts 19 weeks
which means we will have our gorgeous rectangular shawls done by summer. This shawl has 4
different patterns + sides. Also, we will add some simple cables (do not panic – we can knit
anything 2 rows a day; well, actually 4 rows a day, but that’s not bad either).

We will work over 199 stitches and 416 rows. Now, as some parts are mostly just knit stitches,
then I will combine those rows into one day as they are easy to work on (otherwise we will be
knitting this shawl until the end of the year and I would like to do one more MKAL on fall for
Christmas).

As we did last year, new rows are meant to work on weekdays and weekends are for catching up
if needed (because life happens as we know).

The most convenient way to receive pattern instructions is with “Knitlet” again (knitting newsletter)
and the updates are sent every Friday for the upcoming week. I will also update the blog here and
there will be daily updates on the Ravelry thread here.
