7. Course Objectives:
a) To design, simulate, implement, test and demonstrate digital communication circuits using 4.
MATLAB/Simulink or LT-SPICE simulations
b) To study, design and and analyze antenna parameters and RF systems using antenna measurement system
and X-band microwave bench (Video demonstration)

8. Course Outcomes:
a) Ability to design, simulate and test various digital modulation-demodulation schemes.

b) Design and Analyze antenna systems and microwave circuits.(Alignment with Pos:

c) Demonstrate the working of designed circuits, measure the outputs and record the observations.

8. LT-SPICE design and simulation of BASK modulator and demodulator
9. LT-SPICE design and simulation of BPSK modulator and demodulator
10. LT-SPICE design and simulation of BFSK modulator and demodulator
11. LT-SPICE design and simulation of QPSK modulator and demodulator
12. Binary Phase Shift Keying, Binary Frequency Shift Keying & QPSK Modulation (Video
demonstration using HW components)
13. Measurement of frequency, guided-wavelength, power, attenuation and VSWR (on a X-band
rectangular waveguide bench set-up operating in its dominant TE10 mode: Video
demonstration)
14. Radiation pattern and Gain measurement of waveguide Horn antenna (Video Demo on antenna
measurement system)

10. Evaluation Plan: The components and the percentage weights are given below.
