1. What are the health-related benefits of diving? Give 5 answers in a phrase or sentence form.
Not only can scuba diving and swimming through the water reinforce your legs, it can also help
build up your core strength, which is vital for your daily life to have a good overall posture.
Breathing is slow and deep while diving, which is critical when conserving and maximizing your
air intake. By simultaneously keeping your balance while swimming with paying attention to
your environment, your brain improves its concentration and awareness. Many studies show that
those who dive regularly are less likely to be prone to strokes and heart attacks. Scuba Diving
also helps to relieve stress.

2. What are the safety reminders in scuba diving, "before diving", "during the dive", and "after
dive". Give 5 each.

Before diving:
 Never dive without a buddy.
 Always plan your dive, and always dive your plan.
 Check your diving equipment to make sure it works. Use the right gear that can handle
your planned dive.
 Ask your doctor what medicines are to safe to use when diving.
 Ask your doctor how diving can affect your health. It can be dangerous if you have
certain health problems.
During the dive:

 Never hold your breath while ascending. Your ascent should be slow and your breathing
should be normal.
 Never panic under water. If you become confused or afraid during a dive, stop, try to
relax, and think through the problem. Ask for help from your dive buddy or dive master.
 Stay Aware of Where Your Guide and Buddy Are
 Keep an Eye on Your Air Gauge
 Dive Within the Limits of Your Dive Computer and No Deeper Than 40m
After dive:

 If you don’t feel well or if you are in pain after diving, go to the nearest emergency room
right away.
 Do not fly for 12 hours after a no-decompression dive, even in a pressurized airplane. If
your dive required decompression stops, don’t fly for at least 24 hours.
 Stow All Your Gear Away on the Boat
 Debrief With Your Guide and Buddy
 If You Feel Strange, Let Others Know
