Dimensions of the model

Length = 500mm Inner radius = 25mm
outer radius = 100mm
Thickness = 10mm

2. Theory
Pressure Vessel is a closed container designed to hold gasses
or liquids at a pressure above 0.10 MPa, higher than atmospheric pressure.
Due to operating conditions, high stresses are developed in Pressure
vessels which results in cracking and bursting of vessels
In this experiment an approximate stress exists in cylindrical pressure
vessels calculated under the different boundary conditions by using the
Finite Element method.It is subjected to internal pressure and then
boundary conditions are applied at specified points.
In analytical method Lame's equation is used to find the thickness of the
thick cylinder subjected to internal pressure :-

3. Materials and Methodology

3.1 Materials:
Material used = Steel
Young’s modulus (E) = 210 Gpa
Poisson's ratio (μ) = 0.33
3.2 Methodology:-

● Meshing:- 1585 elements are created in the model by the meshing.
