The researcher adopted a quantitative research design to evaluate the


perceptions of grocery store customers of Barangay 01, Jones, Isabela
towards the impact of brand awareness in their purchasing behavior. A
quantitative research design aims to determine the relationship between one
thing and another in a population (Hopkins, 2008). The method that the
research will be using is descriptive research as it focuses on the perceptions
of grocery store customers towards the impact of brand awareness in their
purchasing behavior.
ACTIVITY 3
Data Gathering Instrument

Instruction:
Discuss with your groupmates the Data Gathering Instrument. Choose One
from the Ways in Developing Research Instrument. If you have chosen
already, decide one from the Common Scales Used in Quantitative Research.
Be careful in deciding. Once you are in doubt of choosing, there will be
something wrong in your research.

This research aims to determine the perceptions of grocery store
customers of Jones, Isabela towards the impact of brand awareness in their
purchasing behavior specially answers the following questions:
1.What is the impact of brand awareness in terms of :
a.The way they decide what product will they purchase?
b.The way they assess the product to purchase?
c.Their loyalty with the product’s brand?

Data Collection Procedure

Instruction:
Discuss with your groupmates the Data Collection Procedure. Choose two
from the Techniques in Collecting Quantitative Data. If you have chosen
already, the data gathering procedure is to be presented in a paragraph
format in your research paper. A diagram is a sample given to you, but,
make it as a paragraph.

First, the researcher will ask permission to conduct the study from the
respondents of the study. Second, the researcher discovers the facts about
the perceptions of grocery store customers of Jones, Isabela towards the
impact of brand awareness in their purchasing behavior using questionnaire.
