1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 Introduction to Design- Thinking


For the development of an individual design thinking plays a very important role by thinking an
innovative ideas and designing that idea will give a better result for solving the problems. It is a
very formal method which builds the “ideas” and “brainstorming” phase. Thinking starts on seeing
some a specific problem and try to solve that problem by an alternative ideas. Present as well as
the future problems can be solved by thinking and ideas. Design thinking is a formal method for
practical, creative resolution of problems and creation of solutions, with the intent of an
improved future result.

1.3 Team Building and Log Book Exercises and Importance

We, group id-12 are five members in our group. Our Group leader Dhruv patel is very keen about
the DIGITAL INDIA concept and the technologies used currently for making Hospital
digitalization in all aspects. Jayant Badreshiya,Adib Soniwala being a student herself is good at
understanding the student point of view accurately. Vraj Patel,Ayuah Kanani is also very
sensitive when it comes to education.

Our Guide is Prof. Mrs.PATEL JALPA M She is one of the best Teachers of our Computer branch.
One of the best things in her is that she gives us numerous supports in our journey of Design
Engineering. she is the one who helped us at every step of difficulties .she is like a friend to us and
as a result we don’t feel shy in asking anything to him. Moreover, Prof.Vijaysinh Jadeja a
professor of us had also given a huge idea regarding DESIGN ENGINEERING
Working together as a team was quite difficult, new and very useful for us. As all ideas, creativity,
innovation emerges together which gives us a very innovative concept. As our domain
DIGITALIZATION OF HOSPITAL was very vast and wide which create difficultly in
concentrating on Single topic. We thought about some problems that can come in
DIGITALIZATION OF HOSPITAL and tried to manage those problems with some ideas which
are painted on the canvas. Some users that do not relate to the prevailing system are also considered
in our system and referred on project.
The concept of Log book by GTU was very useful for us in order to remind, noting the important
points, features and observation which reflect our hard work towards the subject.

2 PREPARATIONS OF CANVASES

2.1 AEIOU FRAMEWORK


A (Activities), E (Environment), I (Interactions), O (Objects), U (Users) is a heuristic to help
interpret observations gathered by ethnographic practice in industry.
AEIOU framework is a key element to record the Ethnographic Observations. AEIOU framework is
used as a lens to observe the surrounding environment during field work.
Materials from observations are gathered via ethnographic methods: Notes, Photos, Videos,
Interviews, Field observations.
Observations are recorded under the appropriate headings in Notebook / Record book / Tables for
observation.
Observation is an iterative process, each type of Observation canvas may be in varying numbers
depending on the case under research.
More numbers of these observation records will ensure sincerity in the work as well as make sure of
Novelty in the project.
Once observations are recorded, brainstorming plays an important role in identifying the problems by
taking a few questions like- What – Why – How – When – Where.

2.1.1 ACTIVITY
Activities are certain set of actions that are being performed in the Digital Education.
Activities can be done by various users such as learners, preachers, software engineers, hardware
engineers, principal of respective organization or institute, lab assistant, technician, database
administrator etc. The specific activities of various users have been included in below attachment.

2.1.2 ENVIRONMENT
Environment includes the entire arena where activities take place.
Environment can be observed by asking certain questions like- What is the character and function of
The space overall, of each individual’s spaces, and of shared spaces?
Environment also affects the activity of the user.

2.1.3 INTERACTION
Interaction is the communication between the two persons or a crowd of people. We had interacted
with the different users through various media or interview and tried to engage their ideas in our topic.
Interaction means the people communicate on some specific reasons or ideally.

2.1.4 OBJECTS
Objects means they are normally nonliving things. Some objects are useful to us whereas some are just
ideal i.e. they are not useful. Objects are building blocks of the environment. Objects can be observed
by asking certain questions like- What are the objects and devices people have in their environments
and how do they relate to their activities?

2.1.5 USERS
Users are the people whose behavior’s, preferences, and needs are being observed. User can be
Observed by asking

certain questions like-Who is there. What are their roles and relationships?
What are their values and prejudices? The main users of digital education are learners and preachers.

2.2 EMPATHY MAPPING CANVAS

In this canvas we are going to draw the ideas and emotions of our main user “LEARNER”. Empathy
Canvas involves the main user, stakeholders, their activities and the different stories.

2.2.1 USER
We have chosen user as LEARNER because in digital education, learner is the main benefiter.
The concept of digital education was developed and is completely based on keeping in mind the needs
of a learner or say student.

Stake holders contain different type of people which are related to users EX:

Activities are daily movements which the user does in his day to day life. The various activities of the

2.2.4 STORY BOARDING


Story boarding is nothing but some interesting happy and sad stories regarding our domain digital
education. With the help of this story we can understand the point of view of a learner or student.
Also, the prons and cons of the currently adapted technologies in digital education which may help us
to improve, update or bring innovation bringing an end to their problems.

2.3 IDEATION CANVAS


Ideation refers to the process of creating new ideas. It is a wide term process of going wide in terms of
concepts and outcomes. The goal of this canvas is to get the innovative ideas and diversity among
those ideas.
In this canvas we had included people, their activities and the different situations their context and
location. We had listed the different problems from this canvas and had tried to get the different
solutions. Also from that we had written the different props that will be helpful in solving the problems.

2.4 MIND MAPPING (DATA ANALYSIS)
In the mind mapping activity we had summarize all the activities ,interactions between users, various
objects and how environment is affected with that objects.

This canvas is based on the specific product. That is how the derived product will be useful to both
students and preachers. The main purpose of this product is to make education digital in all aspects.
With the help of this product we are going to reduce the burden of heavy baggage and to comfort all
the 7 types of learners. Also, it eliminates the tedious task for preachers to assess the descriptive
content.

2.5.1 PURPOSE
The purpose behind the product is to provide education anytime anywhere even without internet
connection being available at each instance. To comfort all the 7 types of learners and to enhance e-
learning.

3) REVERSE ENGINEERING

3.1 Levels of Analysis for DIGITALIZATION OF HOSPITSL

3.1.1 System wide analysis


We had chosen the domain digitalization of hospital because in 21st century , everything
is digital
With the development of Internet, mobile phones, mobile apps, tablets, laptops, and other
modern devices, things are becoming more and more digitalised in today’s world. The
heaith care system in India’s metros and other cities has also become modernised to a great
extent, making way for digitalisation. With a number of national level hospital coming up,
digitalization of hospital is making its way into the medical system of India and is taking
the place of the traditional hospital management system.

This project will enhance the existing medical technologies and will make hospital digital
in all aspects.
So we will try to implement the project using the language PHP or ANDROID.
⮚ HOW IT WILL WORK?
We are using a system which will have OCR, database, formative assessment
algorithms, open source programs such as ‘calibre’ and ‘newocr.com’ descriptive
assessment algorithms and props.
OCR involves reading text from paper and converting or translating into a form that
computer can understand and manipulate for example- ASCII codes.
Once document pages are loaded, a variety of image processing options which prepare
document images in a way to deliver the best OCR results are to be seeked:
1. Optimisation of images from digital cameras,e.g. straighten curved text lines
2. Dual-page splitting
3. Different algorithms for skew correction up to 20 degrees
4. Built-in adaptive binarisation and texture filtering
After the image quality was enhanced, the document pages have been analysed by
algorithms based on artificial intelligence.
Ocr program will output a text file. This file will be uploaded to word processor and
will be processed for spell checking.
After that the .doc document will be uploaded to open source programs such as calibre
for proper formatting and generating the ebook topicwise.

3.1.3 Individual component analysis


There are various components used in this system such as OCR, database, formative
assessment algorithms, open source programs such as ‘calibre’ and ‘newocr.com’
descriptive assessment algorithms text to speech and props.
OCR- It is a widespread technology to recognise text inside images, such as scanned
documents and photos. OCR technology is used to convert virtually any kind of images
containing written text (typed, handwritten or printed) into machine-readable text data.
DESCRIPTIVE ASSESSMENT ALGORITHM- algorithms required for the automatic
assessment of descriptive text.

TEXT TO SPEECH- Text to speech, abbreviated as TTS, is a form of speech synthesis that
converts text into spoken voice output.

3.2 Customer Perspective V/S Engineer’s Perspective


Customer perspective
▪ The cost of the product should be minimum.
▪ The product should be qualitative.
▪ The product should be reliable.
▪ The product design should be attractive.
▪ The product should be quite acceptable.

Engineer’s perspective
● Design of the product should be simple.
● The product should have less complexibility.
● The product should be competitive in the market.
● The product should be use in mass production.
● The product should give maximum profit.
3.3 SCAMPER TOOL

Scamper tool is a brainstorming technique which helps to generate ideas for new products and
services by encouraging thinking about how you could improve existing ones.
SCAMPER is a mnemonic that stands for:
S:-Substitute
C:-Combine
A:-Adapt
M:-Modify
P:-Put to another use
E:-Eliminate
R:-Reverse

Ans: We have included the descriptive assessment algorithms to reduce the tedious task of
preachers to manually do so.

2) COMBINE

Ans: we will combine the e-book with assessment software to maximize the use of this product.

⮚ What else is like your product?
Ans: this is a unique product.
⮚ What other products or ideas could you substitute?
Ans: no other product.

4) MODIFY
⮚ How can you change the shape, look or feel of your product?
Ans: by coding in such way and implementation of it that the software appearance looks great.

5) PUT TO ANOTHER USE

Ans: any learner can use our product.
⮚ Can you use this product somewhere else?
Ans: we can use this product for specific organization or institutes but the implementation will be
difficult and also the costing will increase.

5) ELIMINATE

Ans: no part can be eliminated from this.
⮚ How could you make it smaller, faster or more fun?

Ans: designing in such a way that it requires less space and more efficiency.

⮚ What would happen if you reversed this process or sequenced things differently?
Ans: this system will not work.

3.7 SUMMARY OF REVERSE ENGINEERING

Reverse engineering also called back engineering is the process of extracting knowledge or design
engineering Information from anything man-made and reproducing it or reproducing anything based
on the extracted information. Reverse engineering in computer programming, is a technique used to
analyse software in order to identify and understand the parts is composed of. The usual reasons for
reverse engineering a piece of software are to recreate the program, to build something similar to it,
to explain its weakness or strengthen its defences.

Reverse engineering can be viewed as the process of analysing a system to:


1) Identify a system’s components and their inter relationship’s
2) Create representation of the system in another form or a higher level of abstraction.
3) Create the physical representation of that system.

4 PRE-DESIGN ( LEARNING NEEDS MATRIX )

The purpose of LNM is to identify the requirements of learning among the team members. While a new
product/process is under development based on a unique idea (to reduce the level of difficulty faced by a
user), the team members need to learn and explore a lot of new skills and documents, methods and
guidelines.
The LNM is containing a quadratic layout. From centre (the concept under development), it needs to have
mention of learning/exploring requirements in each quadrant representing a specific type of skill
acquisition. These quadrants have a timeline associated with it that can be considered in the year of studies
(II, III and IV) or phases as (short-term, mid-term and long-term). Each identified requirement of learning
is connected depending upon interdependencies and paths are to be drawn. The team members can develop

their own learning path to contribute to the efforts of the team for developing the concept underlying at
the centre of the LNM.

6 CONCLUSIONS

During this semester we had identified all the problems and we had listed out the problems in the log
Book. We had also done the mind mapping activity and had found the research papers also of our
product. In this semester we are introduced with a new topic reverse engineering in that we had studied
various levels of analysis. In that we had studied the customer and engineer’s perspective and the
scamper tool .we had also made changes in the product development canvas and had done summary
of the reverse engineering .In our domain digital education, we discovered that even though in the 21 st
century also known as the digital era, the medical0 system has not been digitalized completely. The
one currently accepted and being used by us are having drawbacks that we decided to overcome by
coming up with an idea is a online appiment of doctor .It is use for every people to have residens in
city area..this application easy to uae for local public.same normal patient like normal fever patient
problem solve Through our application, we will overcome the leading loopholes of the system as well
make it convenient for the user, enhancing the performance The main purpose of our brought up
solution is to make fully digital hospital management system in all aspects as well as comfort all the
customer and doctor. It provides reliable communication between preacher and learner.
