XR is an emerging umbrella term


for all the immersive
technologies.

EXTENDED REALITY(XR) is the


combination of human & computer
generated graphics interaction,
which is in reality as well as the
virtual environment . In basis terms,
EXTENDED REALITY is a superset of
Augmented Reality(AR),Virtual
Reality(VR)& Mixed Reality(MR).

Virtual
reality(vr)

*It is a computer generated


environment with scenes and
make objects that appear to be
real, making the user feel they
are immersed in their
surroundings.
*Environment is perceived
through a device known as a
Virtual Reality headset or
helmet.

REALITY
**Augmented reality is an
enhanced version of the real
physical world that is achieved
through the use of digital visual
elements ,sound , or other
sensory stimuli delivered via
technology
MIXED
REALITY(MR)
It is a blend of physical
and digital worlds ,
unlocking natural and
initiative 3D human,
computer, and
environmental
interactions
UNDERSTANDING XR VIA 5+1 SENSES…

 SIGHT: AR technology primarily focuses on what can be seen.


 Hearing: immersive audio is a more advanced 3D version of audio.
 Touch: wearable devices ,such as gloves & bodysuites.
 Smell: simulating scents is relatively new in xr space.
 Taste: SCIENTISTS AND ENTERPRENENEURS ARE RACING TO EMULATE THIS
SENSE IN THE XR SPACE.
 “sixth” sense: ML AND AI CAN PLAY A ROLE IN XR EXPERIENCES, ACTING
AS AN ADVISORY SENSE.
