Good evening 

to one and all present over here. It’s my pleasure to start this auspicious
occasion by heartily welcoming everybody. I welcome you all too annual sports meet prize
distribution function. I heartily welcome our Honorable chief guest

Our Principal of SLMGNC and GHSN, Administrative officer, All Teachers and my dear
students.

Annual Sports meet was conducted from 19 sept 2018 – 22 sept 2018 and these were the
sports events conducted , Athlete 100 mts, 200mts, 400mts relay, Shot put, Javelin
through, High jump and long jump, and group events Cricket, Volley ball, Badminton and
Tug of war and Indoor games Carom and chess.

All the events were for both Boys and Girls except Cricket,

1. Before starting the programme let us have 2 minute silent

2. Now I request our students to please welcome our Honorable guests and all our
dignitaries with Boquet and tilak,

3. We people face many ups and downs, songs and dance help them to renew strength and
energy. Let us now revive ourselves with a welcome dance.

Now I call upon Mithali and group for their performance.

4. And now I request our Beloved principal Mrs. Shashi Bala, SLMGNC to come on the stage and say a
few words.

5. This time is a much awaited time for every student, as it gives the returns to the effort
put in by them. It gives a sense of achievement and responsibility towards fulfilling further
commitments. Let’s acknowledge them with prizes. Here are the names of the winners and
runner-ups of various game activities.

The prize distribution is the most important part of the sports day where all the students
and participants are waiting to receive their prizes. So I call our special guest, principal of
SLMGNC and GHSN to facilitate and give away the prize for the winners.

6. It is time to lend our ears to Chief Guest’s address. It’s my humble request to our Chief
Guest Sanjay Sharma has worked with BBC, The Times of India, the Sunday Guardian, the Tribune,
Press Trust of India. He has reporter from Pakistan, Sri Lanka and France. He has written for Time
magazine. He has been interviewed  by Reuters, Pakistan  media and Radio China. One of his pieces
on spiritually in Pakistan was Google's highest reacted one. Mr Sharma has been associated with
civil society efforts to bring the world and conflicting parties on a dialogue table. He runs a non
invasive heart care facility to provide world's cheapest heart care. He is a trustee of Dialogue
Highway, an associate of France-based Dialogues on Humanity. The trust majorty works on
Himalayan ecology. Mr Sharma has written a chapter on drug menace in Punjab in a book edited by
Padma Bhushan economist Dr V S Vyas. He is also a professor of communications in NIMS
University. Welcome sir
