What I Have Learned!

1. What contemporary art form classification is the most prevalent art form
in our country and why?
 Weaving is one of the most well-known kinds of traditional art in
the Philippines. Each island (Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao) has
its own particular weaving technique that reflects Philippine
culture. Aside from the fact that this art is omnipresent, the tools
by which you can see it are everywhere, materials are everywhere
and I believe it is the most accessible.

2. What is the importance of the contemporary art form classification in

today’s society?
 One of the advantages of contemporary art is that it allows people
to express themselves creatively. Anyone can express oneself in a
way that others can safely see through painting, sculpture, and
performance art. It also allows us to reflect on society and the
topics that are important to us and the rest of the world. It is part
of a broader cultural discussion about major cultural concepts
including identity, family, community, and nationality.

3. What are the advantages in learning the different art forms in the
Philippines?
 Learning the different art forms of the Philippines allows us
Filipinos to represent the cultural richness of the archipelago in all
of its diversity. And to learn about the beauty and goodness of
Philippine arts. Learning about and through the arts enhances the
experience of studying in school while also preparing learners for
life after school. As a student, arts subjects enable self-expression
and creativity, as well as a sense of individual identity.
