toyBOTS
Today you are going to program your toys!

What you need:

A grid marked on the ground - this could be tiles or chalk markings outside
or a grid drawn on paper
Paper and a pencil
A toy
toyBOTS
Make two name tags:
One named - Coder
One named - Robot

You are the coder and your toy will be the robot! Choose a square on
your grid and mark that as home.

Write down instructions for your toy to follow to get home. You can use
letters and arrows. For example:
F F F L F L R F

Forward = F Left = L Right = R Back = B

Following
instructions
Practice what each instruction means.
‘Forward’ means step forward into the square directly in front of you.
‘Turn left’ means turn 90 degrees left on the spot, but stay in the same
square.

Practice moving your toy forward, back, left and right.

Let's get Tricky
You can make it a little trickier for your toy my adding obstacles into
your grid. You then need to give your toy instructions to move around
the obstacles to get home.
