MECHANISM AND METHODS OF TRANSMISSION
AND DISTRIBUTION OF ELECTRICITY
IN THE COMPANY:

Electricity transmission is the transfer of electrical energy from

(generator) to user (load, user), these steps are called “electric
transmission network”
It starts with the generator station, most of the cases are
outside the cities. Transmission lines: descend between 440 kV -
33 kV, of which two types are “Over headline OHL or
underground cables.”
Overhead lines are considered the oldest type of transportation
methods - safety and maintenance are more compared to
ground cables because they are affected in storms, sand, rain,
etc., but they are considered a cheaper means for long distances
compared to ground cables.
Underground cables have many types - their principle is that
they are underground to conduct the current current from one
station to another. Oil filled cables filled with oil through which
oil passes - they are considered the oldest types of cables - their
maintenance is more than any other type, but their life is
considered longer - and their stamina for heat is very large
XLPE cables of a special insulating type.
The electrical transmission stations contain a transformer that
converts from a higher voltage to a lower voltage or vice versa,
for example 66/11, meaning it converts from 66 kV to 11 kV.
