UUNDERSTANDING THE SELF

Title: MY 200plus WORDS REFLECTION FROM TODAY’S LESSON

Before Sir Albert Maglasang tackled and discussed our main lesson on the PPT which is
centered on the remaining part of the earlier lesson of section 1: The Inner soul, part of module
6: Unfolding the Spiritual self, he asked each one of us to share in the class the answer that we
had in our earlier assignment in week 1 of final period. The sharing of our answer about on the
video on how to be 100% sure you are going to Heaven and not to be surprised on Judgement
Day is quite enriching to the soul while listening to it. Although we are given the same questions,
we have different answers, ideas, views, and reflections on it. Among the answers that caught my
attention is the answer that Sir Albert shared with us when he said that going to heaven is 100%
God’s effort. Salvation is God’s effort. All we need to do is to have faith before we can have a
right relationship with Jesus. If our faith with God is not genuine, we could not have a good
relationship with Jesus. Our charitable deeds are just the fruit of having a genuine relationship
with God.
The Inner Soul: The truth in spirituality...is that spirituality goes beyond the things that
we have in this world. Spirituality is more than wealth. It is more than our existence, the
existence of anything. It gives meaning and new perspectives to our life as well as to our
relationships with others. It will be our eyes of faith that will help us enable to see the miraculous
things done by God that happen around us. It is more than religiosity. We can be religious but
not spiritual. Good spirituality and relationship with God can change a person's behavior and
character. It is visible and manifests itself in the way we live our life. A person can have
spirituality even if he/she does not subscribe to any religion but on the other hand a person can
be religious but not spiritual. Spirituality can bring contentment and serenity amidst the
challenges, roadblocks, and difficulties in one’s life. A constant reflection and daily meditation
of our life every day can help us enhance our spirituality.
Watching the inspirational and motivational video that we have about on LET GO and
TRUST GOD / Overcoming worry reminds me how lucky am I to have such a good and merciful
God who loves and takes diligent care of me unconditionally. All creation trust on God’s care
except for humans. Humans by worrying tends to assume God’s responsibility. It was Gods
forethought when He created us that He wants us to be free of sorrow and worry. He wants us to
let go of the many things that will anxious, depress and worry us. To let go and Let God.
Worrying is not God wants us for us, it is our choice and decision that we made when we allow it
to take over and penetrate our lives. Whenever we wake up every day, we can choose either
between praying or to panic, and to worry or worship. It is true that when we start or begin our
day without saying a prayer to God asking for His constant guidance and blessing throughout the
day, we easily panic and worry that we became unreasonable, illogical, and irrational in our
decisions and in everything we do. Worry is unnatural and unhelpful. It is worthless since it
cannot solve even a single problem that we have in our life, nor can it change anything in our
past.  I was struck by this video that I watched since I am one of those people who worry too
much about many things in life, things that are not yet to come. Since I have an advanced
thinking personality, I tend to worry about many things that oftentimes hinder me to enjoy life to
the fullest. It also hinders me to see Gods works, wonders and miracles that He do every day in
my life. By worrying too much, it only shortens our life since it does a lot of harm to our mental,
physical, and spiritual health.
In all of this, we are simply being ask and invited us to let go of our worry and let God
take the responsibility of everything in our lives. It is also an invitation to trust in God’s
providence to take care of all our needs in life. To entrust fully and unreservedly everything, our
life, our needs, our families, our plans, our past, present and future into God’s hands to govern
and shepherd us.
