AIMS/GOAL OF THE STUDY

The aim of this study is to analyze and investigate the Disk brake and Drum brake

performance on difference Load and Speed. Because now a days there so much accident that happens

and this will help all the people and the society to eradicate or at least lessen the accidents. This can

help also the future researcher and the students.

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

A brake system is designed to slow and halt the motion of vehicle. To do this, various

components within the brake system must convert vehicles moving energy into heat. This is done

by using friction. The amount of friction of resistance to movement depends upon the type of

material in contact, the smoothness of their rubbing surfaces and the pressure holding them.

Thus, in a nutshell a car brake works by applying a static surface to a moving surface

of a vehicle, thus causing friction and converting kinetic energy into heat energy. As the brakes

on a moving automobile are put into motion, rough -textures brake pads or brake shoes are

pressed against rotating parts of the vehicle, be it disk or drum. The kinetic friction of the

rubbing surfaces and the car or truck slows down.

When vehicle comes to stop, it is held in place by static friction. The friction between

surfaces of brakes as well as the friction between tires and roads resist any movement. To

overcomes the static friction that holds the car motionless, brakes are released. The heat energy

of combustion of engine is converted in kinetic energy by transmission and drive train and the

vehicle moves.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

This study investigated the Analysis on Disk Brake and Drum Brake Performance on

Difference Load And Speed at Pandan School of Arts and Trades G11 And G12 Automotive

Students Sy 2022-2023. Specifically, it sought answers to the following questions.

1. What is the socio- demographic profile of the students/respondents?

2. What is the difference of Disk Brake and Drub Brake Performance in terms of

Load and Speed?

3. What are the problems encountered of drum brake and disk brake if possible?
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The importance of this study are the following:

Students- it will be beneficial because of the capacity to eradicate or lessen the accidents, now a

days there so much vehicles that people buy but with this invention it will be helpful.

Future Researcher- Researcher will give the appraisal to its study because of their talent and

perseverance and cope to the future research.

Society- it will make the society control the numerous accidents, because of this study.

Teacher- it can give a teacher an information and beneficial to his/her lesson .
