The procedures for replacing parts described in this document are taken from the following documents:
Document
Clio II phase 2 shares some parts with Clio II phase 1, and therefore some illustrations used in this document are
taken from previous documents when the procedures are similar.
In which case, the diagrams are not exact representations of the actual vehicle, but do not affect how the procedure
is understood.
The procedure symbols and the key to symbols have also changed when updates have been added.
Therefore, in this document, the pages are treated in two different ways:
For the pages taken from previous documents, refer to the procedure symbols and the key to symbols listed in
sections 40A.F and 40A.G respectively of the current manual.
For the pages taken from the most recent documents, refer to the procedure symbols and the key to symbols listed
in sections 40A.H and 40A.1 respectively of the current manual.

Impact fault finding 40A M
Before carrying out repairs to the bodywork of a vehicle it is necessary to carry out a series of tests, even if the
damage seems slight:
VISUAL INSPECTION
This inspection involves examining the sub-frame of the vehicle where mechanical components are mounted and in
the crumple zones or vulnerable areas in order to detect creases where materials have been deformed.
IMPORTANT: In borderline cases, it will also be necessary to check the running gear components, which may also
have suffered damage.
In principle, no welded component in the body shell should be replaced without ensuring that the sub-frame has not
been affected by the impact.
