IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES:

1. Candidate must bring legibly printed Admit Card with 2 identical photographs as uploaded at the time of filling of
Application form, one to be pasted on Admit Card at mark A and another photograph to be pasted on Attendance Sheet in
Examination Room/Hall, and one identity proof in original with photo like Driving License, Voter Card, Aadhaar Card/E-
Aadhaar/Aadhaar Enrolment No., Passport, Pan Card, Ration Card, failing which the candidate will not be allowed to enter in the
Examination Centre. All other ID/ Photocopies of IDs even if attested/ scanned photo of IDs in the mobile phone will NOT be
considered as a valid ID Proof.
2. Use of eraser, nail, blade, white fluid/whitener etc. for scratching the answer or causing damage in any manner on the
OMR Answer Sheet is strictly prohibited during examination and its use anywhere on the OMR Answer Sheet shall
lead to cancellation of OMR Answer sheet and such OMR Answer Sheet shall not be evaluated.
3. No Candidate will be allowed to appear at the Examination Centre, on Date and Time other than that allotted to him/her in his/her
Admit Card.
4. This Admit Card is issued provisionally to the candidate, subject to his/her satisfying the eligibility criteria. Issuance of Admit
Card/appearing in the Test does not confer any right of appointment/selection. Appointment/Selection is subject to final verification
at various stages by the Recruiting Department.
5. If it is found that the candidate has furnished any false/fabricated information or has concealed the truth, Haryana Staff Selection
Commission, Panchkula, reserves the right to reject/cancel/terminate the candidature/selection/appointment at any stage, including
post appointment stage.
6. As a precaution for COVID-19, the candidate must reach the Centre at the time as indicated against Entry time at the Centre, on
the Admit Card.
7. No candidate shall be permitted to enter after the Closing Time.
8. No candidate shall be permitted to leave the Examination Room/Hall before the end of the examination.
9. On completion of the examination, the candidate shall wait for the instructions from Invigilator and will not get up from his/her seat
until advised.The candidates will be permitted to move out, one at a time only.
10. Candidates are advised to verify the location of the test venue, a day in advance so that they do not face any problem
on the day of the test.
11. Any candidate wearing specific attire as part of his/her religious/cultural practices, shall visit the Exam Centre early for thorough
checking and mandatory frisking.
12. No Candidate would be allowed to enter the Examination Centre, without this Admit Card and Undertaking, Valid ID Proof
and proper frisking.
13. Candidates will be permitted to carry only the following items with them into the Examination venue:-

a. Admit Card along with Self Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA website (a clear printout on A4 size paper) duly filled in.
b. Two Self-attested colored photo (same as uploaded on the Application Form), one pasted on Admit Card and another photograph to be
pasted on Attendance Sheet.
c. Original valid ID proof.

14. NTA will provide the Blue/Black Ball Point Pen to the candidate during the Examination. No personal Pen will be allowed.
15. A Fresh Mask will be provided to the Candidate at the entry, which he/she needs to wear. However, Candidate may be asked to
remove the mask for identification purpose.
16. Before reaching the Centre, candidates must enter required details in the Self Declaration (Undertaking) in legible handwriting and
paste the Self attested Photograph.
17. Candidate has to put his/her signature and thumb impression at the appropriate place on the Admit Card in the presence of
Invigilator at the time of examination.
18. Candidates are warned not to carry any other personal belongings including electronic or communication devices, mobile phone,
Bluetooth, any type of watch, belt, wear ornaments like ring, chain, earring etc., Pen, Pencil, Eraser, Sharpener and correcting
Fluid in the examination centre. If any candidate is found possessing any such item, he/she will not be allowed to enter in the
examination centre. Candidate found possessing mobile phone and any other aiding material/device as mentioned above in the
examination room will be treated as a serious violation and it will amount to cancellation of the candidature and debarring him/her
from future examination of HSSC.
19. Examination Officials will not be responsible for the safe keeping of personal belongings and there will be no facility for storage of
such personal belongings.
20. Candidate shall ensure at the start of the examination and within first five minutes, that all pages of his/her test booklet are properly
printed and test booklet is not damaged in any manner and Serial No. and Code of OMR Answer Sheet and Test booklet match
with each other. In case of any discrepancy the candidate should immediately report the matter to the Invigilator for replacement of
test booklet and OMR Answer Sheet. No claim in this regard will be entertained after five minutes of start of examination.
21. Candidates are warned not to fold, tear, destroy or make any stray marks on the OMR Answer Sheets. Use of Eraser,
Nail, and Blade, White Fluid/Whitener etc. to smudge, scratch or damage in any manner the OMR Sheet during
Examination is strictly prohibited. Candidature/OMR Sheet of candidates using Eraser, Blade, Nail or White
Fluids/Whitener to smudge, scratch or damage in any manner the Answer Sheets shall be cancelled.

22. There will be two copies of OMR Answer Sheet i.e. Original copy and Office copy. After the examination is over, the
candidates shall handover the OMR Answer Sheet completely i.e. both the copies together to the invigilator. The
candidate will also hand over the duly filled Admit Card to the invigilator. The candidate can take away the question
Booklet after the examination is over. If, the candidate does not handover both the copies of OMR Answer Sheets to
the invigilator and goes away any of the above documents (both the OMR Answer Sheets and Original Admit Card),
his/her candidature shall be cancelled and criminal proceedings shall also be initiated against him/her.
23. Each question has five Options. There is only one correct answer to each question. Choose the MOST APPROPRIATE OPTION
and darken/bubble the corresponding circle on the OMR Answer Sheet with only Blue/Black Ball Point Pen provided by the
NTA. If you do not wish to answer any of the questions, you must denote the same by darkening the Circle against Option No.5.
No marks will be awarded against this Option No.5.
24. In case a candidate does not fill any of the Options then 0.95 marks will be deducted for each question which is left
blank.
25. No candidate will be allowed to leave the OMR Answer Sheet blank. If any OMR Answer Sheet is found blank, it shall be crossed
by the Invigilator with his/her signature after mentioning “Cancelled” on it.
26. The candidates are warned not to mark anything on Office Copy. The impression of Original OMR sheet will automatically be
marked on Office copy. Pencil should not be used for darkening the circle. If, more than one circle is found darkened, that answer
will not be evaluated.
27. If a candidate does not comply with the instructions as mentioned above or creates any kind of indiscipline, the Haryana Staff
Selection Commission (HSSC) shall take action as per instructions and in addition can also debar the candidate from appearing in
the Examination, to be held in future by the Commission and can also initiate criminal proceedings.

28. For Persons with Benchmark Disability

a. The Persons/Candidate with Benchmark disability (Blind/Visually Handicapped/Locomotor disability-both arm affected, Cerebral palsy) who
wants the help of a Scribe to write his/her paper will have to apply to the Centre Superintendent for the permission of a scribe separately, 30
min before the entry time of examination along with the relevant documents i.e. Request, Disability Certificate issued by Medical Board
constituted by the Chief Medical Officer of the concerned district, Aadhaar card of candidate and Scribe, and self-attested affidavit mentioning
that he is a Blind/Visually Handicapped/Locomotor disabled (both arm affected) candidate.
b. The qualification of the Scribe shall be less than the essential qualification required for the post. A similar affidavit from the Scribe shall also be
required to be submitted to the Centre Superintendent along with the application.
c. Such candidates will be allowed extra time/compensatory time @ 20 minutes per hour. Such permission will be granted by the Centre
Superintendent after checking the documents. All the candidates with benchmark disability (Blind/Visually Handicapped/Locomotor disabled
(both arm affected)) not availing the facility of Scribe may be allowed additional time of 20 minutes per hour.

29. Shoes/footwear with thick soles and dresses with large buttons are NOT permitted.
30. The scanned photograph of the candidate on his/her Admit Card or Attendance Sheet will be tallied with the candidate appearing in
the examination by the invigilator. In the event of any discrepancy in the identification and verification of the candidate and
photographs, the candidate shall not be allowed to sit in the examination and be liable for criminal prosecution.
31. Candidate shall not be allowed to go to the toilet/washroom during first and last thirty minutes of the examination.
32. Candidate will not be allowed to leave the OMR Answer Sheet blank. In case of any discrepancy between the English and Hindi
versions of any question in question booklet, the English version will be treated as final/ authentic.
33. No Candidate shall adopt/indulge in any unfair means in the examination process. If a candidate is found using any unfair
means/malpractice in the examination, his/her candidature is liable to be cancelled and legal action as deemed fit will be initiated
against him/her.
34. The Examination Centres are under CCTV surveillance and equipped with Jammers.
35. The candidate has to comply with the above instructions, which are already available on HSSC website i.e. www.hssc.gov.in, as
well as the instructions given in the Advertisement, Question Booklet and OMR/Answer Sheet etc. Therefore, the candidates are
again advised to read and understand the instructions carefully given by the commission from time to time for written
examination/Interview through HSSC website, Advertisement, Examination Notice, Admit card, Question Booklet, OMR/Answer
sheet or any other manner. If a candidate does not comply with the above instructions then he/she will be solely responsible for the
consequences.
36. Candidates are advised to check updates on www.hssc.gov.in regularly. They should also check their mail box on the registered E-
mail address and SMS in their registered Mobile No. for latest updates and information regarding the exam.
37. This Admit Card consists of four pages (Page 1 contains the Centre details and Self Declaration (Undertaking) form
regarding COVID-19, Page-2 and Page-3 has “Important instruction for candidates” and Page-4 has “Advisory for
candidates regarding COVID-19”. The candidate has to download all four pages.

ADVISORY FOR CANDIDATES REGARDING COVID-19

NTA will implement Social Distancing measures as per Government of India Guidelines in current scenario of COVID-19 to ensure health and safety of
the candidates. Adequate measures are being implemented for the safety of all without compromising the high standards, sanctity, and fairness in the
conduct of the examination. Candidates are also required to adhere to Guidelines and processes for Social Distancing and hygiene to ensure safety at
their own and fellow candidates. For safety purposes, NTA strongly advises candidates not to bring prohibited items or anything other than permitted
items. However, in the case of an unavoidable situation, there will be an arrangement to store the bags at Centre at the owner’s risk.
Preparation at the Centre:

1. Standard Operating Procedures for implementing safety precautions and for maintaining the required standard of hygiene will be implemented.
2. QR Code readers will be used at the entry point to scan QR Code on the Admit Card. The room/hall number will be informed to the candidates
at this point.
3. It is ensured that all the processes are touch-free, to the maximum possible extent, to ensure Social Distancing norms.
4. Candidates are expected to reach Centre as per the Reporting/Entry time at Centre given in the Admit Card to avoid any crowding at the
Centre at the time of entry and to maintain social distancing.

Pre-Exam Preparation:

1. Candidate to check Reporting/ Entry time at Centre given on the Admit Card and to reach Centre as per Reporting Time only to avoid any
crowding at the Centre at the time of entry and to maintain social distancing.
2. Candidate should fill Admit Card and Undertaking completely and properly, as per instructions.
3. Candidates will be permitted to carry only certain items with them in to the venue as mentioned in Point 16 of "Important Instructions to
Candidates” on Page 2.

At the time of Entry:

1. Candidates need to maintain distance from each other at all times.


2. Room No. /Hall No. will not be displayed outside the Centre to avoid any crowding at anyone place in any situation.
3. Candidate should bring duly filled in Admit Card and Undertaking as per instructions.
4. Do not bring prohibited items to the exam Centre as there are no arrangements available for safekeeping your belongings. Please refer
Point-22 of IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES given on Page-2 for permitted items.
5. At the time of entry, the filled-in Undertaking on Admit Card will be checked and Centre staff will guide you to your Exam Room/Hall after
frisking and document verification.

During Examination:

1. Candidates are required to wear Mask to be supplied by NTA on the day of Examination. In order to stop chances of any UFM being used in
the examination, the candidate may be asked to remove the Mask for checking/verification at the entry or during the examination.
2. Candidates are required to paste passport size photograph and sign on the Attendance Sheet.

After Examination:

1. On completion of the test, the candidates will be permitted to move out in an orderly manner, one candidate at a time. Please wait for
instructions from Invigilator and do not get up from your seat until advised.
