GETTING ON TRACK
This pack contains four activities to help you apply what you have learned in the
‘Getting on Track’ module.
In Activity 1 you will be asked to think about what ‘phase’ of work you are currently in.
In Activity 2 you will be asked to think about who can help you with work-related
questions.
In Activity 3 you will practice choosing the ‘right’ person to help with questions inside or
outside of work.
In Activity 4 you will focus on the 3 ‘Secrets of Success’.
1. Begin to think about the different phases you will go through when
starting work.
2. Identify who can help you both in and outside of work.
3. The three secrets of success in the work place – Relationships,
Knowledge & Skills, and Attitude & Behaviour.

o Build my skills.
o Review my career goals.
o Do my work on time and in the right order.
o Be prepared.
1. Who would be the best person to talk to if you were unsure about company
policies and procedures?
2. Who would be the best person to talk to if you want to understand more
about what your role and responsibilities are going to be?
3. Who would be the best person to talk to if you didn’t know how to complete
a team-related task?

If you are not working, here are some links to advisors and websites to assist with your
journey. You should also search online for local community organizations that may be

Think about one thing you are good at in each of these areas and one thing you think
you need to work on.
Look at the examples in the template and write some examples for yourself.
