I. Conceptualization

A Rationale or Background

The Stories Come to Life! program is an event catered to all students,

intending to usher in the spirit of the month of November, celebrating both the

cultural significance of literature and the festivity of dressing up in costume. The

event would incorporate both class and batch bonding activities to enrich the

student connection further, providing a fun and inviting atmosphere as a form of

relief from academics for all students, especially after the preliminary examinations

season.

This one-day celebration hopes to bring out the inner creativity and child-like

spirit they all carry by expressing themselves through various costumes and art

activities. With the themes of stories and fictional characters, we hope to, not only

tap into the fun, youthful side of students, but also to promote literature as a form of

learning and enjoyment.

B Goals or Objectives: FSC

i. FAITH: With this program and event, we strive to inspire students to have a

collective faith in each other; knowing that they can help each other through

the hardships they may face. Therefore we hope that this project will also give

them a greater sense of faith towards God.

ii. SERVICE: As Lasallians, it is important that we can help one another and the

people in our community. With this in mind, we want to help the student body

showcase their creative skills and provide an environment surrounded by

kindness and happiness.

iii. COMMUNION: The pandemic has affected us in many ways; connecting with

people became hard when interacting only through an online platform. For

that reason, we hope for the student body to bond and have a sense of

companionship and create a stronger relationship through activities proposed in

this paper. Internally, the Student Council would like to strengthen our

partnership with other organizations and to work together for this project.

C Theme

i. Preschool

➢ The theme of the event is: Stories Come to Life: A Picture-book Parade

➢ This event’s theme focuses on raising student engagement and igniting their

creativity in celebrating the fun and bright stories. The theme will also be the

main concept for this year’s “Character Costume Showcase Competition”.

➢ In terms of design, the event will use a cartoon-esque style, focusing on

bright, child-like designs with vibrant shades of primary colors, and

contrasting softer tones like warmer whites. Choosing this design theme

highlights the bright childlike wonder that comes from the adventures in

reading and the mesmerizing art style of the picture books.

ii. GS

➢ The theme of the event is: Stories Come to Life: Festival of Fantasy

➢ This theme focuses on stimulating the students’ creativity and improving their

imagination and confidence, while they showcase their fantastical

appearances. The theme will also be the main concept for this year’s

“Fantasy Fictional Showcase Competition”.

➢ In terms of design, the event will have gold and white lights in a forest-like

setting in order to have that magical “just got out of the book” ambience.

Choosing this design theme highlights the mystical essence shown in fantasy

books that the bookworms love.

iii. JHS

➢ The theme of the event is: Stories Come to Life: Moshi Moshi? Has the
Episode Started?

➢ This theme focuses on improving class connections and highlighting the

amazing art and story found in anime shows. The theme will also be the

main concept for the Anime Scene Recreation Photo Class Competition

held for JHS.

➢ In terms of design, the event will be taking on soft, light colors, with the stark
contrast of outlines to imitate the drawing style of anime series. Focusing on

the enchanting beauty and whimsical magic of anime series. Choosing this

design theme aims to highlight the exciting and colorful stories of anime

series and films, giving focus to the modern stories that are loved by the

teenage demographic.

Table 1.1 Game Mechanics

Program Game Mechanics

Game Rules and How to Play

● For this game, only one representative from each

section will have to play. The players will form two
lines and face each other: forming pairs. For every
pair, there will be an item between them; this
game's goal is to grab the item before your
partner grabs it.
First Game: ● The twist to this game is that you cannot grab the
Fran-Ken-Stein! item unless the hosts call out the word
“Frankenstein”. When the hosts call out “Fran”, all
the players must touch their heads. When the
hosts call out “Ken”, all the players must touch
their hips. And when the hosts call out “Stein”, all
the players must touch their toes. The hosts may
also instruct the players to jump or squat to add
confusion for the players.
● If a player fails to follow the hosts’ instruction, they
can be eliminated from the game.

● Each section will have 5 representatives to play.

The players will form one line and their goal is to
eat all of the marshmallows in the string. One
player will have 3 marshmallows to be eaten. The
Second Game: section that gets to eat all 15 marshmallows wins.
Marsh Gallows ● When a player has eaten all 3 marshmallows, they
would have to run to their advisor and high-five
them, and go back to the line.
● Once everyone in the line is done, all of them
would need to shout Animo La Salle.
